BONUS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A GLASS BOTTLE MANUFACTORY.

THE Provincial Government being desirous of encouraging the manufacture of Glass Bottles in Otago, is prepared to receive offers from parties willing to embark in the enterprise, and is further prepared to pay a bonus of £300, as under:—

On the erection of building and plant, of a value of not less than £500—£100.

On production of 100 gross of bottles—£100.

On production of a further quantity of 200 gross—£100.

Offers will be received at the Provincial Government Offices, Dunedin, and should state the estimated cost of the works proposed to be erected, the date on which the same will be in operation, and that the parties are prepared to be bound in the sum of £250 to produce 500 gross of Bottles within two years from the date on which the tender is accepted.

The Government does not bind itself to accept any offer.

11th October, Friday noon, a calf, two bullocks, a cow and a heifer will be sold at Clyde pound.

11th October, Friday, a cow and two bullocks will be sold at Palmerston pound.

11th October, Friday noon, a mare and a gelding will be sold at Shotover pound.

18th October, Friday noon, five cows, four steers, and four heifers will be sold at the Clyde pound.

ACCEPTANCE of Tender.—Contract No. 660.

The tender of M’Grath & King for the above Contract, for the sum of £630 10s, has been accepted.

STATIONERY AND PRINTING.—Separate tenders will be received at the Provincial Government Offices, Dunedin, until noon of Friday, 4th October, 1872, for supply of Stationery and for Printing for Provincial Government during the year 1873.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Lands, until noon of Monday, the 7th October, for

Contract No. 75.—Trigonometrical and Topographical Survey of country between Ohau Lake and Mount Aspiring, and marking on the ground part of the boundary between Otago and Canterbury.

Tenders to be accompanied by a deposit of 5 per cent. of the estimated cost.

The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

PAYMENT TO BE MADE IN LAND.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 17th October, 1872, for

Contract No. 633—Construction of Timber Bridge over the Shotover River, near Arthur’s Point.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Station, Queenstown.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for Contract No. 663.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

PAYMENT TO BE MADE IN LAND, OR CASH,
At the option of the Government.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 8th October, 1872, for

Contract No. 668—Repairs to Bluff Harbor Wharf.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Railway Office, Invercargill.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No 668.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 8th October, 1872, for

Contract No. 669—Construction and metalling of portion of road Southern Trunk to Hogg’s Bridge.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Balclutha.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No 669.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 8th October, 1872, for

Contract No. 670—Construction and metalling of 29¼ chains of road, Palmerston to Oamaru, between the junction of Tiverton and Ronaldsay Streets and north-east boundary of the town of Palmerston.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Palmerston.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for Contract No. 670.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 8th October, 1872, for

Contract No. 671—Construction and gravelling of about 53¾ chains of road, Palmerston to Oamaru, between Palmerston town boundary and Shag River.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Palmerston.

Tenders to be endorsed, “Roads and Works tender for Contract No. 671.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TIME EXTENDED.

PAYMENT TO BE MADE IN CASH OR LAND,
At the option of the Government.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Tuesday, 8th October, 1872, for—

Contract No. 665—Formation of a portion of the road Tokomairiro to Coast, through Mr. Thos. Lawrence’s property near Coast.
