WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.

EDUCATION RESERVES, SOUTHLAND.

APPLICATIONS will be received by Mr. John H. Baker, Survey Office, Invercargill, from persons wishing to lease any of the Reserves as formerly advertised.

Copies of the Otago Regulations, and conditions for the Leasing of Education Reserves can be obtained from Mr. Baker, Invercargill.

MONDAY, the 30th day of September, at Noon.

NOTICE is hereby given that section 7, block IV, Clarendon, containing 152a 1r 32p, and sections 1 of 16, 2 of 16, 17, 18, 22, and 36, block III, and 13, block IV, Kaitangata district, containing respectively 107a 2r 2p, 40a, 235a 2r 22p, 169a 0r 23p, 154a 0r 6p, 106a 1r, and 119a 0r 30p, will be offered for sale by public auction at Mr. Capstick’s auction room, on Monday, the 30th day of September next, at noon, at the upset price of 10s per acre.

Immediately thereafter, section 2, block XVI, Waihola district, containing 51 acres, will be offered at the upset price of £1 per acre, and section 52, block I, Clarendon, containing 36 acres, formerly part of bush reserve, section 4 block I, at the upset price of 21s per acre, as land of special value.

FRIDAY, 11th October, at noon.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following sections in the township of Greytown will be offered for sale by public auction at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Friday, the 11th October next, at noon;—back sections at the upset price of £3 per quarter; front sections at £5 per section.

Sections 1 to 40, block XIV; 1 to 11, 14 to 18, block XV; 16, 17 and 18, block XVI; 1 to 4, 17 to 20, block XVII; 1 to 3, 8 to 11, 16, 17 and 20, block XVIII; 1 and 2, block XXI.

Immediately thereafter section 3, block XIII, Dunedin and East Taieri district, adjoining sections 145 and 146, Green Island Bush district, will be offered at the upset price of 21s per acre.

FRIDAY, 11th October, 1872.

EDUCATION RESERVE.—Section 2 of 7, Block VI, North-east Harbour and Blueskin District, will be leased at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Friday, the 11th of October, immediately after the sale of Crown Lands.

Copies of Regulations, and Conditions of Lease, may be had on application at the Education Office.

NOTICE to Runholders.

The Lessees and Licensees of Runs within the Land District of Invercargill, will please to forward to the District Land Office, Invercargill, the Return of Stock ordered by the Waste Land Act to be made during September, and to pay the Assessment due thereon to the Receiver of Land Revenue there, on 1st October, 1872.

NOTICE.

The suburban Road Districts (Costorphine and Green Island Subdivisions) intend making a general District Rate for the year ending 20th March, 1873, in accordance with the Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871. The proposed rate is deposited at the house of the Clerk for inspection by the ratepayers from this date.—T. C. Morland, Clerk to Board.

SUPREME COURT.

Notice is hereby given that a Sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of Criminal and Civil Business, will be holden at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, on Monday the 7th day of October next, at the hour of ten o'clock in the forenoon, at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances to appear as Prosecutors, Defendants, or Witnesses are required to give their attendance.

Notice is hereby further given that the Civil Cases will not be called on for trial until Tuesday, the 15th day of October, at ten o'clock in the forenoon.

THE Chestnut mare advertised for sale in the Oamaru Pound is claimed.—John Gray, Poundkeeper, Oamaru.

IMPOUNDED.

On the 5th day of September, 1872, by Messrs. Rolland Brothers, Blackstone Hill Station, one grey mare branded like C near ribs, one dark brown mare, branded like * near shoulder; star, near hind foot white, one bay cob gelding branded like JS near shoulder, one black colt branded like JPH (the JP conjoined) near shoulder, one bay gelding branded like 47 near shoulder, 357 off neck, white feet.—Owners unknown, for trespassing on Blackstone Station, for which sixteen shillings per head expenses is claimed; and in default of being released, the above horses will be sold at the Public Pound at Leaning Rock, Clyde, on Friday, the 4th day of October, 1872, at twelve o’clock noon.—William Williams, Poundkeeper of the Leaning Rock Pound, Clyde.

IMPOUNDED.

On the 10th day of September, 1872, by Messrs. Rolland, Blackstone Hill Station, one black and white steer branded like J near hip, one red and white heifer branded like _ off rump, one red heifer calf, no visible brand, one red cow branded like Y off rump, one red and white heifer branded like (I off rump, one yellow and white steer branded like JR off rump, one red and white steer branded like X with strokes at top near ribs, half of off ear cut off, one strawberry heifer, no visible brand, one yellow and white heifer branded like LB (conjoined) off rump, one red poley bullock, branded like JM off ribs, one strawberry steer, no visible brand, near horn broken.—Owners unknown, for trespassing on Blackstone Hill Station, for which three shillings per head expenses are claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Leaning Rock, Clyde, on Friday, the 4th day of October, 1872, at twelve o'clock noon.—William Williams, Poundkeeper of the Leaning Rock Pound, Clyde.
