OTOKIA Road Board.—Notice.—Parties in this district who have not yet paid their rates, are requested to do so on or before Wednesday, the 17th instant, otherwise legal proceedings will be taken against them.—PETER LEITCH, Clerk. Otokia, 8th July, 1872.
IMPOUNDED on the 7th July, 1872, by Constable Anderson, two ponies, viz., one grey gelding and one brown mare, no visible brand on either, owner unknown, for trespassing on Forbury road; for which no damages are claimed, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound at Caversham, on Friday, the 26th July, 1872, at twelve o’clock noon.—JOHN ANDERSON, poundkeeper of the Caversham pound.

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Nomination of Candidates for the Office of Mayor for the Year ending 1st August, 1873, will be declared on Friday, the 12th July, 1872, at the Terrace of the Provincial Council Chambers, at the hour of noon.
Nominations must be in form of Schedule D of the “Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance 1865,” and can be lodged at the Town Clerk’s Office, Manse-street (where blank forms may be had), on or before noon of the day herein fixed for the declaration.
