ON and after Friday, 19th July next, Section 44, Block VIII, Jacob’s River Hundred, containing 7a. 3r. 14p., more or less, hitherto temporarily reserved, will be open for application at the Land Office, Invercargill.
On and after Friday, 19th July next, Section 14, Block IV, East Winton, containing 1 acre, more or less, hitherto reserved for a Mill Site, will be open for application at the Land Office, Invercargill.
THE undermentioned holders of Licenses to depasture cattle within the Mabel Hundred have been elected Wardens of the said Hundred for the current year.

BY-LAWS.

That no cattle of any description shall be depastured on the Mabel Hundred without a license.
-
That no sheep shall be depastured on any lands within the Hundred under the jurisdiction of the Wardens.
-
No entire horse over 12 months old, and no bull over 6 months old, shall be depastured without special permission of the Wardens.

Any person disturbing or distressing cattle on the Crown Lands within the Hundred will be liable to a penalty of Five Pounds sterling.

That no person shall be allowed to depasture on the Hundred more than one head of cattle for every five acres of land in his occupation, and that all cattle depastured must be branded with the registered brand of the license holder.

All stray cattle or sheep may be impounded, and the Wardens will not be responsible for any mistakes which may arise from cattle not bearing brands according to the Cattle Branding Ordinance.

All license holders shall on or before the 1st day of July, 1872, give in a written statement to the nearest Warden of the number of cattle and horses depastured by them on the said Hundred.
The above By-laws, passed by the Wardens of Mabel Hundred, were sanctioned by the Waste Land Board, Invercargill, on the 25th day of June, 1872.
