Library Committees are informed that a large order for Public Library Books has been sent to Britain; Priority of choice in the selection of the books on their arrival here will be strictly determined by the dates on which the several Committees forward their subscriptions to this Office, or submit their claims to free grants in respect of moneys expended by them directly on the purchase of library books.

15th JULY.—EDUCATION RESERVE.
Section 2 of 7, block VI, North-East Harbour and Blueskin District, will be leased at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 15th July, immediately after the sale of the Waikawa Station.
Copies of Regulations and Conditions of Lease may be had on application at the Education Office.
EDUCATION RESERVES.
The following Education Reserves will be leased by auction, at the rooms of Mr. Samuel Shrimski, Oamaru, on Monday, the 5th day of August, immediately after the sale of Crown Lands there.
Section 4, Block XVII, Oamaru Town
Do. 2, do VII, Hampden Town
Sections 54 & 57, Block IV, Otepopo, 160 acres
Do. 21 & 22, do IX, Awamoko, 233 acres
The lease of the last mentioned sections will be sold subject to valuation for improvements. Copies of Regulations and conditions of lease may be had on application at the Education Office.

APPLICATIONS are invited for the offices of Head Master, Second Master, and School Mistress for the Invercargill Grammar School about to be established.
The salary of the Head Master will be not less than £300 per annum, with residence. The salary of the Second Master not less than £175 per annum, and that of the School Mistress, not less than £100 per annum.
The successful applicants will be expected to commence their duties after the Christmas vacation.
Applications must be received not later than the first week in September, 1872, and be accompanied by testimonials and references, to be addressed to the Invercargill School Committee, Invercargill, New Zealand.

PAYMENT TO BE MADE IN LAND.
TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Friday, 26th July, 1872, for Contract No. 576—construction of portion of road, Dougherty’s hotel to Fitzgerald’s store, Tuapeka.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Tuapeka.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for Contract No. 576.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for Contract No. 646, 647, or 648,” as the case may be.

HENLEY Road Board.—Tenders will be received by the undersigned up till noon on Saturday, the 20th instant, for the erection of a wooden bridge over what is termed the Trial Ditch at Lees Canal. OTUPIPI Road Board.—Tenders will be received by the undersigned up to noon on Friday, the 19th instant, for certain works to be done in the above district. APPLICATIONS will be received by Mr. John H. Baker, Survey Office, Invercargill, from persons wishing to lease any of the Reserves as formerly advertised.
Copies of the Otago Regulations and conditions for the Leasing of Education Reserves can be obtained from Mr. Baker, Invercargill.
RUN FOR SALE.—33,000 ACRES.

WAIKAWA STATION.—Notice is hereby given that the lease for 10 years of Run No. 177, containing 23,000 acres, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 15th day of July 1872, at noon; in terms of clause 73 of the Otago Waste Lands Act, 1868, as the upset price of halfpenny per acre. Rent to be assessment of 3s. 6d. per head on entire depastured power reserved to increase assessment if undersocked. Lease to commence 6th February, 1873, and be terminable at 12 months’ notice.
