PORTOBELLO Road Board.—Tenders wanted for the undermentioned works on Hooper’s Inlet Road :—No. 2 : For quarrying, cutting, breaking, and spreading 70 yards, more or less, of Road Metal.—No. 3 : For forming 10 chains, more or less, of Bridle Track at the head of Hooper’s Inlet. William Dickson will point out the works on Friday, the 10th May, from 12 o’clock noon until 2 p.m.—No. 4 : For quarrying, carting, and breaking 70 yards, more or less, of Road Metal on the road leading from Portobello Bay to Papanuie Bay.—No. 5 : For forming a Bridle Track of 35 chains, more or less, from Papanuie Bay Road towards Mr. Garrick’s; and No. 6 : For forming 35 chains, more or less, of Bridle Track from Papanuie Bay Road towards Mr. Shepherd’s. Mr. John Wishart will point out the works of Nos. 4, 5, and 6. Sealed tenders to be sent in to the Clerk of the Board before 2 o’clock p.m. on Saturday, the 11th May. CORSTOPHINE Local Road Board.— Wanted Tenders for the spreading of 267 cubic yards of road metal; also cutting and forming about two chains of road. The Local inspectors, Messrs. Thomson and Faueds, will meet intending contractors at Mr. Cargill’s, Road End, at 2 p.m. on Friday the 10th inst., to show them the different places where the spreading is required. For further particulars apply to the undersigned, who will also receive tenders up to noon of Monday, the 13th inst. The lowest tender not necessarily accepted.—J. J. BREADALBANE Road Board.—Tenders are invited for Gravelling District Roads. Specifications, &c., may be seen at Mr. Robert Hartley’s, North Taieri, up to the 20th inst.; upon which day, at 12 o’clock, all tenders must be delivered to Mr. Hartley.—GEO. TURNBULL, Clerk. May 4, 1872.

James Muir will show the works. Contract No. 9—Arthur Seat Ward, for 6 chains, more or less, forming and metalling, and contract No. 10 for forming and repairing 10 chains, more or less, of roadway. John Wishart will show the works. Sealed tenders to be sent in to the Clerk of the Board by 2 o’clock p.m. on Saturday, the 18th inst. WANTED, for the Queenstown Main District School, a Schoolmaster and Schoolmistress. Salary, Government subsidy of £160, and School fees of 1s per week added, subject to a deduction of £30 per annum. Probable salary from above sources £300 with a good house rent free. Must be duly qualified teachers, and the master able to teach singing. Engagement to be for one year only.
