WANTED, for the Queenstown Main District

School, a Schoolmaster and Schoolmistress.

Salary, Government subsidy of £160, and School fees of 1s per week added, subject to a deduction of £30 per annum. Probable salary from above sources £300 with a good house rent free.

Must be duly qualified teachers, and the master able to teach singing. Engagement to be for one year only.

Average attendance during 1871, 77.

GOVERNMENT LAND SALE, INVERCARGILL.

Block 75.

It is hereby notified that the land, bounded on the north by Tay street, on the south by Wood street, on the west by Clyde street, and on the east by Nith street, henceforth known as block 75, town of Invercargill, will be offered for sale by Mr. G. F. Martin, at auction, at the Town Hall, Invercargill, at noon, on the 24th day of April, 1872.

Block 75 is situated in the centre of the town of Invercargill, and contains 22 sections, each having 33 feet frontage to Tay street and Wood street, by a depth of two chains.

Terms—One fourth cash, balance in three equal instalments without interest, payable at one, two, and three years.
