IMPOUNDMENTS

IMPOUNDED on the sixth day of January, 1872,
by George Barnett, Farmer, Frankton:
1 brindle and white Bull, branded T O off rump; owner unknown;
for trespassing on growing crops; for which £2 damages are claimed;
and in default of being released, the above bull will be sold at the Public Pound at Hayes’ Lake, on Friday, the second day of February, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—W. S. Marshall, Poundkeeper of the Shotover Pound.

IMPOUNDED on the fifth day of January, 1872, by John Honour and Son:
1 red and white cow, branded like T B off ribs, H off shoulder, blind in off eye; also, 1 strawberry heifer, branded like X (in circle) off rump, off ear marked; owners unknown;
for trespassing on their growing crops at Boundary Creek; for which 5s each damage is claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Oamaru, on the second day of February, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—John Gray, Poundkeeper of the Oamaru Pound.

IMPOUNDED on the ninth day of January, 1872,
by Benjamin Williams:
One red and white Bullock branded like A Y off hip; also, 1 red Cow, branded like R S off rump and W near rump, top off off ear; owner unknown;
for trespassing on growing crops near Oamaru; for which no damage is claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Oamaru, on Friday, the second day of February, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—John Gray, Poundkeeper of the Oamaru Pound.

IMPOUNDED on the twelfth day of January, 1872,
by James Vickers, Manager, Brooklet:
1 chestnut Horse, branded like diamond and H (tail at top and bottom of diamond) near hip, near hind fetlock white, small star on forehead; also, by Joseph Williams: one dark strawberry Cow, branded like cross (with half-circle on top) off rump, and back hit near ear; owners unknown;
for trespassing on their enclosed ground; for which no damage is claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Oamaru, on the second day of February, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon.—John Gray, Poundkeeper of the Oamaru Pound.
