✨ Road Tenders and Crown Grants
ROSLYN ROAD BOARD. -- Tenders wanted
for formation in King, Kilgour, and James streets.
Specifications may be seen at the Kaikorai Schoolhouse, from 12 to 1. Tenders will be received by the undersigned, addressed to the Chairman, up to 7 p.m., 29th inst. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted. -- H. P. Maclin, Clerk.
FLAGSTAFF ROAD BOARD. -- Tenders will be received by the undersigned up to noon of Saturday, 9th of December, for road formation. Messrs. Jolly and Nicol will point out the work at ½ past 9 o’clock a.m. on Friday, 1st December.
Plans and Specifications to be seen at my Office, No. 1 Chambers, Princes street, opposite Government Buildings. The Board does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender. -- E. R. Ussher, Surveyor to the Board.
TENDERS
Tenders will be received until noon of Monday, the 11th December, for Contract No. 74, Survey of Otekaike Township, Aparima Hundred, about 400 acres, into sections from ¼ to 10 acres each. Plan and specification may be seen at the Survey Offices, Dunedin and Invercargill.
Tenders to be endorsed “Tender for Contract No. 74,” and accompanied by a deposit of 10 per cent.
PUBLICANS’ LICENSES.
The Annual Licensing Meetings will be held at noon on Tuesday, 5th December, 1871, in the Resident Magistrate’s Court Houses throughout the Province. Applications must be lodged with the Clerks of Court at least 14 clear days before the said meetings.
NOTICE.
CROWN GRANTS
Crown Grants for the Land, and in favor of the persons after-mentioned, are now ready for delivery; and attention is directed to the following clauses of the “Crown Grants Act 1866:”
Clause XXXIX. — There shall be paid upon all Grants to be hereafter issued, which may be left in the charge or custody of any Commissioner of Crown Lands, or other officer charged with the delivery of the same, a fee of sixpence for every month during which they shall be so left after the expiration of three months from the date of the notice in the Gazette of the Province wherein the lands are situate, that such Grants are ready for delivery.
Clause XL. — There shall be paid upon all Grants issued prior to the passing of this Act, and left as aforesaid in the custody of the officer chargeable with the delivery thereof, a fee of sixpence per month for every month during which they shall be so left after two months subsequent to the passing of this Act.
