NOTICE
Under Section 1 of Regulation IV.
WHEREAS I have received sufficient proof that the portions of the Otago Goldfield described in the Schedule hereto have been fairly tested, and is for the whole or the greater part of an inferior character as regards the value of its auriferous deposits:
Now therefore I hereby give notice that the same may be occupied by holders of miners’ rights in claims of the undermentioned sizes, viz.:
One (1) acre for each holder of a miner’s right; provided that no block claim shall comprise more than six acres altogether.
Given under my hand at Naseby this 10th day of November, 1871.

SCHEDULE.
All that portion of the Otago Goldfield, comprising seven acres, more or less, and situate at Kearney’s Flat, Hogburn, and contained within the following boundaries—viz.: bounded on the north by Baxter’s claim (170 yards), on the south by Gibson’s claim (170 yards), on the east by Baxter and party’s claim (200 yards), and on the west by Surprise Company’s head race (200 yards).
Also—All that portion of the Otago Goldfield, comprising two acres, more or less, and contained in the following boundaries—viz.: bounded on the north by head race from Surprise Gully (150 yards), on the east by Forrest’s garden (75 yards), on the west by Surprise Gully (75 yards), and on the south by the Dunstan road (150 yards).
THE “Otago Waste Lands Act 1866 Amendment Act 1869.”
Mr JOHN MCLAUGHLAN,
of Clevedon Road District, Otago, is authorised by His Honor the Superintendent, under the provisions of section 13 of the above-mentioned Act, to impound all cattle found trespassing upon any public road within the limits of the said road district.

24th November, Friday noon, a Horse will be sold at Shotover Pound.
24th November, Friday noon, a Cow and Steer will be sold at Balclutha Pound.
1st December, Friday noon, a Horse will be sold at West Taieri Pound.
1st December, Friday noon, a Mare will be sold at Port Chalmers Pound.
1st December, Friday noon, a Steer will be sold at Papakaio Pound.
DUNE HILL LOCAL ROAD BOARD.
Tenders are invited for clearing about 60 chains bush off road line; and sundry road formation in Blueskin District, near Block III. Messrs. Rodgers and G. Pow will be on the ground to show the required work to intending contractors on Saturday, the 25th inst., between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Tenders for the above works may be lodged with Mr. Robert Rodgers on and up to 3 p.m., on 27th instant.
