THE FINEGAND ROAD BOARD

hereby notify their intention of applying to the General Road Board, at the November sitting, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of 6d. in the Pound, on all Property in the district, for the year ending June, 1872. NOTICE

The Precepts having been issued, authorising the Collection of the Inch Clutha and North Molyneux Road Rates, for the year 1871-72, Ratepayers are requested to pay the respective amounts to the Collector at the Post Office, Inch Clutha, on or before the 14th day of November.—C. BLUESKIN LOCAL ROAD BOARD

The Committee hereby notify their intention to apply at the sitting of the General Road Board in November next, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of 1s. in the Pound, on the annual value of all Property in the district liable to be assessed for the year ending June, 1872. NOTICE

The Ratepayers of the North-east Harbour District, are requested to pay their Rates for this year to me, at my house, any day during this month, or failing this, to meet me for this purpose, at the School-house, on the 4th November, between the hours of 12 and 4.—Robert Rayner, Collector. SIGNAL HILL ROAD DISTRICT

Notice is hereby given that the Precept authorising the collection of the Highway Rate in the above district, for the year ending June, 1872, having been issued by the General Road Board, Ratepayers are hereby requested to pay their respective Rates to me, at my house, Signal Hill, in one payment, on or before the 15th day of November, 1871.—Hugh Brown, Collector. TOMAHAWK ROAD DISTRICT

Ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their respective rates to me, at my house, on or before the 4th day of November, 1871.—Thomas Harrison, clerk and collector, Tomahawk district. October 2nd, 1871.

MAUNGATUA ROAD DISTRICT

Ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their respective rates to me, at my house, on or before the 24th day of October, 1871.—James Sim, clerk and collector, Maungatua. 27th, October 1871.

HIGHCLIFFE ROAD DISTRICT

The Road Rates must be paid to me, at my house, on or before the 26th day of October, 1871.—William Hay, collector to Highcliffe Road Board.

KAIKORAI ROAD DISTRICT

Ratepayers are requested to pay their Rates at my house on or before the 24th day of October, 1872.—John Jones, Collector.

CYDNEY

Ratepayers are hereby informed that the General Road Board has sanctioned the collection of a Highway Rate of Sixpence per acre, and the same payable to the undersigned on or before the 24th proximo.—Alex. Pirie, Collector.—Otepopo, September 26th, 1871.

MOUNT ROYAL ROAD DISTRICT

Notice is hereby given that the above-named Road Board intend to apply to the General Road Board on the first Thursday of November, 1871, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of (4d) fourpence per acre in said district. BEACONSFIELD ROAD BOARD

Notice is hereby given of their intention to apply to the General Road Board at the October sitting for authority to levy a Highway Rate of (4d) fourpence per acre for the year ending June 1872. MERTON ROAD BOARD

MORRINSIVILLE ROAD DISTRICT

Notice: The Precept authorising the collection of the Highway Rate for the abovenamed district for the year ending June, 1872, having been issued, the ratepayers are hereby requested to pay their respective rates to me at my house within thirty days from the date hereof.—John E. THE AHURIRI LOCAL ROAD BOARD

Notice is hereby given of their intention to apply at the next sitting of the General Road Board in November for authority to levy a Rate of threepence per acre for the year ending June, 1872. The Rate Roll can be inspected at my house for fourteen days from this date.—Robert Molloy, Clerk to Local Board. Ahuriri, 11th October, 1871.

IMPOUNDED

On the 4th October, 1871, by Boys Brothers, one red and white bull, no visible brand, dewlap, which short tail, owner unknown, for trespassing on Falls Station in grass paddock, for which it is claimed for damages, and 10s driving expenses; and in default of being released, the above bull will be sold at the public pound at Hayes Lake on Friday, the 3rd November, 1871, at 12 o’clock.—W. Impounded on the 5th October, 1871, by Thomas McDonald, one bay horse, branded W 3 near ribs, supposed to belong to Michael McDowell, for trespassing in growing crop, for which its damages is claimed, and in default of being released, the above horse will be sold at the public pound at Inch Clutha, on the 3rd November, 1871, at 12 o’clock.—L. Impounded on the thirteenth day of October, 1871, by the Town Clerk, Balclutha, one strawberry heifer, branded AS on off rump, same both half at foot; one red heifer, no brand, ears cut, half at foot; one red bullock, one brand, no marks, one red cow, branded I on off ribs, half at foot, for trespassing on the Forty Reserves, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound, Balclutha, on the 2nd day of November, 1871.—John Hutton, Poundkeeper.
