TENDERS invited by the Highcliff Road Board

For breaking, spreading and boxing, according to Specification, 460 yards, more or less, of Road Metal, on Roads No. 1 and 2. Also, for Cutting and Forming several small portions of the above and other roads in the said district. Inspectors will be waiting at branch road leading to Mr. Thomas Inglis’s, section 31, on Saturday, the 28th instant, at 2 p.m., to show the work to intending contractors. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted. Specifications, &c., to be seen at Highcliff Schoolhouse. SCHOOLMASTER wanted for the School at Switzers

NOTICE is hereby given that the Lease of the Clutha Sandspit, being sections 1, 2, and 3, Coast District, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the auction rooms of Mr. R. W. Capstick, Tokomairiro, on Friday, the 27th day of October next, at 12 o’clock noon, at the upset price of £10 per annum. Deposit on fall of hammer to be £10.

NOTICE is hereby given that sections 1 and 3, block II, Waipahi District Hundred of Popotunoa, containing respectively 299a, 1r, 18p, and 218a, 1r will be offered for sale by public auction by Mr. R. W. Capstick, at the Crown Hotel, Balclutha, on Tuesday the 21st November next at noon, at the upset price of 10s per acre.

IMMIGRATION. -- Regulations for the introduction of Immigrants into the Province of Otago

On the nomination of persons resident therein, -- Persons residing within the Province may obtain orders for Passages from the United Kingdom to Otago, for their friends or relatives, on payment of £5 per statute adult; children over one year old, £2 10s; and under one year, free. Such payment to be made, accompanied by a written application in the following form: to the Provincial Treasurer, Dunedin; the Receivers of Land Revenue at Invercargill, and of Gold Revenue at Queenstown, Arrowtown, Cromwell, Clyde, Alexandra, Naseby, St. Bathans, Roxburgh, Lawrence, Switzers, Hyde, Macraes; and the Collector of Customs at Dunedin.
