NOTICE

Of certain Land in the Province of Otago, having been reserved as an Endowment for the Atheneum at Invercargill.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of Section 62 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866," recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved for an endowment for the Atheneum at Invercargill; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described a Reserve for an endowment for the Atheneum at Invercargill; (that is to say)—

Section 1, 31a 2r 22p; section 2, 36a 3r 36p; section 3, 36a 3r 36p; section 4, 60a 0r 16p; section 5, 27a 1r 28p; section 6, 33a 2r 1p; section 7, 16a 1r 31p; section 8, 41a 0r 32p; section 9, 60a 1r 28p; section 10, 57a 1r 17p; section 11, 44a 3r 20p, block VI, Campbelltown Hundred, forming a total of 446a 3r 27p.

Dated at Dunedin, this seventh day of August, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

NOTICE

Of certain lands in the Province of Otago having been reserved for Educational purposes.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of Section 62 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866," recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved for educational purposes; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described as reserves for educational purposes (that is to say)—

All that area in the Province of Otago, containing by admeasurement ten (10) acres, more or less, situate in the Coast District, being part of section numbered eight (part of 8), block VII, on the map of the said district: bounded towards the north-west by a road line, one thousand two hundred and eighty (1280) links; towards the north-east by a road line, seven hundred and eighty-one (781) links; towards the south-east by other part of the said section numbered eight (8), one thousand two hundred and eighty (1280) links; and towards the south-west by section numbered seven 7, seven hundred and eighty-one (781) links.

All that area in the Bush Reserve at Druid’s Grove, Invercargill Hundred, being a portion of block XII, of the said Invercargill Hundred, containing by admeasurement 4a. 3r. 16p., more or less, bounded on the south by section 1 of aforesaid block, 900 links; on the west by a public road forming the east boundary of section 6 of the said block XII, 1078 links; and on the north-east by a public road, 1402 links.

NOTICE

Of certain land in the Town of Winton, in the Province of Otago, having been set apart as a site for a School.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of Section 62 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866," recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be set apart as a site for a School at Winton; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described a Reserve for a site for a School at Winton (that is to say)—

Block VII, Winton Township, containing 2a. 2r. 33p.

NOTICE

Of certain land in the Campbelltown Hundred, in the Province of Otago, having been reserved as a site for a Quarry.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of Section 62 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866," recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved as a site for a Quarry; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described a Reserve as a site for a Quarry (that is to say)—

All that area in the Province of Otago, being section 24, block I, Campbelltown Hundred, containing 63 acres and 8 poles: bounded on the north-east by a public road, on the south-east by section 7, on the south-west by the Road Reserve along high water mark, on the north-west by section 28.

Dated at Dunedin, this seventh day of August, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of Section 62 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866," recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved as a site for a Cemetery in the Coast District; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described a reserve as a site for a Cemetery in the Coast District (that is to say)—
