OTANOMOMO Local Road Board hereby intimate their intention of applying at the first meeting of the General Road Board for authority to levy a Highway Rate of 3d. per acre, for the current year in the above district.
NOTICE.—The Precept having been issued authorising the Collection of the Highway Rate in the Deborah Bay Road District for Year ending 25th June, 1871, ratepayers are requested to pay their rates to me at my house on or before the seventeenth (17th) May, 1871.

IMPOUNDED, on the 15th day of April, 1871, by John M’Neil, one red and white Steer, branded like AS on off rump, owner unknown, for trespassing on his paddock, for which no damages are claimed; and in default of being released the above Steer will be sold at the Public Pound at Balclutha on Friday, the 12th day of May, 1871, at 12 o’clock noon.
