IMMIGRANTS’ PASSAGE MONEY.—All Immigrants in arrears are requested to pay the same forthwith, otherwise expenses will be incurred. Lists containing the names of all persons in arrears have been placed in the hands of the police.

IMMIGRATION TO OTAGO.—Conditions:—£6 for each adult, and the half of that sum for persons between the ages of 1 and 12, must be paid in Otago before the names are sent home to the Agent in Edinburgh.

If the parties remain three years in Otago, no further payment will require to be made. If they do not remain that time, another payment of £8 10s. must be made before leaving Otago.

All Immigrants must be approved by the Agents for the Province, and may sail either from London or Glasgow.

Schedule, &c., may be had on application.

ABSTRACT FROM PREVIOUS GAZETTES
of Impounding Notices:—

21st October, Friday noon, a horse will be sold at South Dunedin Pound.

21st October, Friday noon, a filly and three horses will be sold at Hawksbury Pound.

28th October, Friday, noon, a cow will be sold at Glenkenich Pound.


NOTICE.—Tenders will be received by the Broad Bay Road Board, for the clearing and reforming of the Track along the Beach.

Specifications can be seen at the house of Mr. Raynbird; also at the house of Mr. Allan, Portobello road, till 12 noon, 29th instant. Mr. Raynbird will show intending contractors the work between 10 and 11 o’clock on that date.


EAST TAIERI ROAD DISTRICT.—Tenders will be received by Mr. James Aitkin, until 3rd November, for forming and metalling 60 chains, more or less, of road line in the above district. Also, for laying down 300 yards, more or less, of sustenance metal on roads already formed.

The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

TENDERS WANTED for Schoolhouse, at Sandymount. Plans and Specifications will be seen at Education Office, or with Mr. M’Donald, Sandymount, who will point out the School site.


NOTICE.—KAIHIKU ROAD BOARD.—Tenders will be received until Nov. 4, 1870, for the construction of Bridges over Kaihiku and Paiwata Streams, and for forming portions of Bush and Clifton Roads.

Plans and Specifications to be seen at the Schoolhouse.

Lowest or any tender may not be accepted by the Board.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, THAT

Sections 1 to 15, Block IV,

Catlin’s District, on the Owake River, have now been Surveyed, and will be open for application as Surveyed Land, on Monday, the 24th October, 1870, at £1 per acre.

The Sections contain about 50 acres each of good agricultural Land.

355 ACRES—Being Sections 49 to 66, Block I, North Harbour and Blueskin District, adjoining the road from Port Chalmers to Blueskin, containing 10 to 16 acres each of Manuka Timbered Land, will be offered for sale by auction in the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 31st day of October, 1870, at the upset price of 25s. per acre.


Tuesday, 1st November, at Noon.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the following allotments of rural land, with the buildings and improvements thereon, will be offered for sale by auction, as land of special value, in the Land Office, Dunedin, on Tuesday, the 1st day of November next, at noon.

Block 3, Kuriwao District.

Section 2, containing 4a. 3r. 11p., upset price £390

The hotel, occupied by Mr. Pollock, is situated on section 2, and consists of bar, dining room, parlor, private room, four bedrooms on the ground-floor, and eight on the upper-floor. The out-buildings connected with the hotel consist of 9-stall stable, cooking-house, blacksmith’s shop, barn, and stockyard.

Section 1 is partly fenced, and is now used as an accommodation paddock attached to the hotel.

Terms, 10 per cent. cash, balance within a month.

NOTICE is hereby given, that Tenders will be received in the Land Office, Dunedin, for the lease for seven years of Section 113, Block III, Papakaio District, 5a. 1r. 10p., up to noon of Monday, the 19th day of November next. A deposit of 10 per cent. of first year’s rent to be made on lodging tender.


NOTICE is hereby given, that the following allotments will be offered for sale by public auction, in the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 19th day of November next, at noon, at the upset price of £1 per acre. If no offer is made at sale they will thereafter be open at £1 per acre, as ordinary rural land.
