WAKARI ROAD BOARD.—Notice is hereby given of the intention of the Wakari Road Board to apply to the General Road Board, at its first meeting, for leave to levy a Highway Rate of Ninepence per Pound on the annual value of the district; and also an additional rate of Sixpence per Pound on the value of the Maori Hill part of the district.

The Assessment Roll may be inspected for fourteen days after the fourteenth day of September, 1870.—David M’Lauchlan, Clerk to Wakari Road Board.

BUSHY ROAD BOARD.—Notice is hereby given of the intention of the Bushy Road Board to apply to the General Road Board, in October, for authority to levy a highway rate of five pence (5d.) per acre for the year 1870.

ALL DAY ROAD DISTRICT.—The Board hereby notifies its intention of applying, at the October sitting of the General Road Board, for leave and authority to levy a Highway Rate of 4d. (fourpence) per acre on all lands in the district.

HERBERT ROAD DISTRICT.—The Board hereby give notice that they purpose applying to the General Board at the October sitting, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of one shilling per pound of annual value on all lands, houses, mills, &c. in the district.

WANGALOA ROAD BOARD.—Notice is hereby given, that it is the intention of this Board to apply to the General Road Board, at its next meeting, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of three (3) pence per acre on all lands liable to be rated in the District.—Robert Neil, Clerk to Wangaloa Road Board. 29th August, 1870.

THE HOUKA LOCAL ROAD BOARD.—Notice. Application by the above Road Board will be made to the General Road Board, at its meeting on the first Thursday in October, 1870, for permission to levy a Highway Rate of One Shilling in the Pound for the current year on all lands, houses, and buildings in the above district.

FINGEAND ROAD BOARD NOTICE.—Application has been made by the above Board to the General Road Board for authority to levy a rate of One Shilling in the Pound on all lands, houses, &c., in the district.

OTARA.—Notice is hereby given, that application will be made to the General Board by the Local Board of Totara for leave to levy future rates in the said district on the annual value of all property in the district.—vide Roads Ordinance 1865, Section XXXI.—John Hardy, Clerk to the Board.

TOTARA.—Notice is hereby given, that the Assessment Roll of the Totara District lies at the residence of Mr. William Derrett, Springfield, Totara, for the inspection of all persons interested therein, on all lawful days between the hours of ten a.m. and four p.m., up to the 28th day of September instant. And notice is also given that application will be made to the General Board, at its next statutory meeting, for the issue of a precept for the Highway Rate for the current year.—John Hardy, Clerk to the Board.

HAMPDEN ROAD BOARD.—Notice is hereby given of the intention of the Hampden Road Board to apply to the General Road Board, at its first meeting, for leave to levy a Highway Rate of Sixpence in the Pound on the annual value of the district.

POPOTUNOA ROAD BOARD.—Notice is hereby given, that the Popotunoa Local Road Board intend to make application to the General Board, at their meeting on the first Thursday in October next, for permission to levy a Highway Rate of one Shilling in the Pound on the annual value of all lands and houses within the district.

ASHLEY DOWNS ROAD BOARD.—Notice is hereby given, that the Ashley Downs Local Road Board intend to make application to the General Road Board, at their meeting on the first Thursday of October next, for permission to levy a Highway Rate of one Shilling in the Pound on the annual value of all land and houses within the district.

MERTON ROAD BOARD.—Notice—It is the intention of the Merton Road Board to apply to the General Road Board, in October, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of Threepence (3d.) per acre for the year 1870.
