BLUESKIN LOCAL ROAD BOARD.—Notice is
hereby given that the above-named Road Board
intend to apply to the General Road Board for authority
to levy a Highway Rate in October, 1870, of Sixpence (6d.)
per acre.
Also, the Assessment Roll is now ready, and can be
inspected at Mr. Quayle’s store, for fourteen days from
date.—Duff Ellis, Clerk and Collector.

CORSTORPHINE ROAD DISTRICT.—Notice is
hereby given that a precept authorising the collection
of a Highway Rate in the above-named District
having been issued by the General Road Board—
Ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their
respective rates to me, at my residence, the Rose, Thistle,
and Shamrock Hotel, Green Island, on or before the
12th day of October, 1870.—J. J. Eagerty, Clerk and

HIGHCLIFF LOCAL ROAD BOARD.—Notice
is hereby given, that a precept authorising the
collection of the Highway Rate in the above-named
District—having been issued by the General Road
Board—Ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of
their respective rates to Mr. David Auld, Collector, at
his house, on or before the 21st day of October, 1870.

PINE HILL ROAD DISTRICT.—Notice.—All
Cattle found Trespassing on the District Roads,
on and after this date, will be Impounded.—Henry
Duncan, Clerk to the Pine Hill Road Board.

MORNINGTON ROAD DISTRICT.—The Pre-
cept authorising the collection of the Highway
rate of one Shilling in the Pound sterling of the
annual value in this district having been issued by the
General Road Board, ratepayers are respectfully re-
quested to pay the amount of their respective rates for
the current year to me, at my house, within thirty
days from the date hereof.—John E. Attwood, Clerk

SIGNAL HILL ROAD DISTRICT.—The Board
hereby give notice that they purpose applying to
the General Road Board, at the October sitting, for
authority to levy a Highway Rate of Sixpence per
Acre.
The Rate Roll is open for inspection by all rate-
payers at James Farquharson’s house, on and up to the
3rd day of October.—Henry Duncan, Collector.

EACONSFIELD ROAD DISTRICT.—The Local
Board hereby notify their intention of applying
at the sitting of the General Road Board, on the first
Thursday in October, 1870, for authority to levy a
Highway Rate of Fourpence per Acre on all lands
liable to be rated in the district.
The Assessment Roll for the above district may be
inspected by the ratepayers at the Kilmog Hotel, for
fourteen days from the date of this notice.—Thomas

KURIMOTO ROAD BOARD.—Notice is hereby
given, that the precept authorising the collection
of the Highway Rate in the above-named District—
having been issued by the General Road Board—
Ratepayers are requested to pay the amount of their respec-
tive rates to Mr. James L. Lander, Kurimoto, on or
before the 12th day of October, 1870.—Peter Leitch,
Clerk. Kurimoto, 12th September, 1870.

IMPOUNDED on the 10th day of September, 1870,
by order of Alexander M’Master, Esq., one white
cow, branded like E near hip, owner unknown, for
trespassing on fenced land at Boundary Creek, for
which no damage is claimed; and, in default of being
released, the above cow will be sold at the Public
Pound at Oamaru on Friday, the seventh day of
October, 1870, at 12 o’clock noon.—John Gray,

Section 50, or application 1316, Block VI, Dunedin
and East Taieri District, will be closed.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership
between the undersigned Alexander Jerusalem
Smyth, John Howat, John Francis Herbert, Edward
Herbert, and Archibald M’Kinlay, in the trades or
businesses of Saw Mill Proprietors, Tallow Manu-
facturers, and Fellmongers, and all other trades or busi-
nesses in which they may be concerned as co-partners
at Tapanui, in the Province of Otago, and elsewhere,
under the firm of “Herbert, Smyth and Co.,” was this
day dissolved by mutual consent, so far as concerns the
said Alexander Jerusalem Smyth, and in future the
business will be carried on by the said John Howat,
John Francis Herbert, Edward Herbert, and Archibald
M’Kinlay, under the name or style of “Herbert, Howat
and Co.,” and who will pay and receive all debts owing
from or to the said partnership in the regular course of
trade.
