SCHEDULE.
All that area, including the Shotover River and its tributaries, extending in width from watershed to watershed, and in length from source to mouth; exclusive only of ground lying between Skippers Creek and Maori Point, stretching one mile westward from the river.
Also,
All that area extending in breadth from Lake Wakatipu and Rees River to the summit of the Ben Lomond and Richardson Ranges; and in width from Stair Peak to the boundary of the Queenstown township.
Also,
All that area forming the watershed of the Moke and Moonlight Creeks.
NOTICE.
PROTECTION OF ANIMALS ACT.
THE period during which native game may be hunted, shot, taken or killed in this Province, having expired on the 31st day of August last, it is notified, for general information, that any person or persons found offending against the provisions of the Act, will be prosecuted.

23rd September, Friday, noon, a strawberry cow will be sold at Anderson’s Bay Pound.
23rd September, Friday, noon, six steers and two heifers, a roan cow and calf, a yellow cow, a white cow, two red and white heifers, a red and white cow, and a strawberry heifer will be sold at Tokomairiro Pound.
30th September, Friday noon, two bullocks will be sold at Glenkenich Pound.
30th September, Friday noon, a horse will be sold at Milton Pound, Tokomairiro.
30th September, Friday noon, a horse will be sold at Oamaru Pound.
TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Dunedin, until noon of the 28th of October, 1870, for supplies of Police Uniform Clothing, viz.:

- Great Coats
- Bedford Cord Pants
- Bedford Cord Trousers
- Oilskin Cloaks
- Leather Gaiters

WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.
NOTICE is hereby given that Sections 1 to 22, Block I; Sections 1 to 7, Block II; and Sections 1 to 15, Block IV, Catlin’s District, on the Owake River, have now been Surveyed, and will be open for application as Surveyed Land, on Monday, the 24th October, at £1 per acre. The Sections contain about 50 acres each of good agricultural Land.

LITHOGRAPH MAPS of the Province of Otago, and of the surveyed Towns, Blocks, and Districts therein, may be obtained at the Land Office, Dunedin; at Mr. Livingston’s, bookseller, Princes street; and at the agencies of Mr. Livingston, Oamaru; Mr. Smith, Waikouaiti; Mr. Stoddart, Hampden; Messrs. B. Hibbard and Co., Tokomairiro; and at the Survey Offices at Queenstown, Clyde, Naseby, and Lawrence, so far as relates to the Districts, &c., adjacent to them; but any map not on hand at any of the Survey Offices may be ordered through them.
All the surveyed Towns and Blocks have been lithographed—price 1s. each. The Districts now lithographed on a scale of 80 chains to an inch are Awamoko, Papakale, Oamaru, Kauroo, Otepopo, and Moeraki—price 5s. each.
NOTICE is hereby given, that Section 7, Block II, Fairfax Township, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Survey Office, Tokomairiro, on Friday, the 23rd September, at noon.
LAND open for sale on 18th May, 1870.—See Gazette published 19th May, 1870, which may be had at the various Survey and Police Stations throughout the Province, and at the Land Office, Dunedin.
NOTICE is hereby given, that Sections 60, 63 to 78, Block V, Dunedin and East Taieri District (previously a Bush Reserve on the Water of Leith), will be offered for sale by public auction, as land of special value, at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday the 3rd day of October, at noon, at an upset price of £1 per acre.
NOTICE is hereby given, that the following Rural Allotments will be offered for sale by auction, at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Friday, 7th October next, at noon, at the upset prices annexed :-
Section 20, Block II, Pomahaka district, 46a. 3r. 31p., 20s. per acre.
Section 1 of 13, Block II, Dunedin and East Taieri District, 31a. 1r. 34p., 10s. per acre.
