EDUCATIONAL MEETING at Tuturau, Maturau.
The inhabitants of Tuturau District are invited to meet at the new Schoolhouse on Tuesday, the 4th October, 1870, at 7 o’clock p.m., to elect a School Committee.

WEST TAIERI ROAD DISTRICT.—The Local Board hereby notify their intention of applying at the sitting of the General Road Board on the first Thursday of October, 1870, for authority to levy a Highway Rate of sixpence in the £ on all lands, houses, &c., in the district. The Assessment Roll for the above district may be inspected by the Ratepayers at the Schoolhouse, for fourteen days from the date of this notice.

WAIHOLA WEST ROAD BOARD.—Notice is hereby given that the above-named Road Board intend applying to the General Road Board for leave to levy a Rate of threepence per acre.

The Assessment Roll may be seen from the 15th till the end of the month on applying to the Clerk.

SANDYMOUNT ROAD BOARD hereby notify their intention to apply to the General Road Board for power to levy a Highway Rate of one shilling in the pound on the annual value of houses, lands, &c. in the district.

The Rate Roll may be seen by all parties interested, at the house of Peter Carmichael, for 14 days after date.

WAKARI ROAD BOARD.—Notice is hereby given of the intention of the Wakari Road Board to apply to the General Road Board, at its first meeting, for leave to levy a Highway Rate of Ninepence per Pound on the annual value of the district; and also an additional rate of Sixpence per Pound on the value of the Maori Hill part of the district.

The Assessment Roll may be inspected for fourteen days after the fourteenth day of September, 1870.
