NOTICE:
Of certain Land in the Province of Otago having been reserved as an endowment for the Clutha River Trust.
By His Honor William Alexander Tolmie, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have under and by virtue of Section 62 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866" recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved and set apart for the purpose of raising a fund for erecting and maintaining works to be constructed and maintained by the Board of Conservators of the District of the Clutha River when constituted under the "Hawke’s Bay and Marlborough Rivers Act 1868;"
And it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore I, William Alexander Tolmie, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described a Reserve for the purpose of raising a fund for erecting and maintaining works to be constructed and maintained by the Board of Conservators of the District of Clutha River when constituted under the provisions of the "Hawke’s Bay and Marlborough Rivers Act 1868."

That an Address be presented to His Honor the Superintendent recommending that the parcel of land hereinafter described may be reserved and set apart and that all necessary steps be taken to vest the same in the Superintendent to be held by him upon trust for the purposes of the Hawke’s Bay and Marlborough Rivers Act 1868 for the purpose of raising a fund for erecting and maintaining works to be constructed and maintained by a Board of Conservators of the District of Clutha River when constituted (that is to say)—
All that area in the Province of Otago containing by estimation fifty thousand two hundred (50200) acres more or less being Runs numbered respectively 129, 258, and part of Run numbered 90 on the map of the south-eastern pastoral district of the said Province deposited in the Provincial Survey Office Dunedin bounded by a line proceeding from the Waipahi Stream due east to "Three Stones" fifty thousand links thence along the western boundaries of Runs 24, 72, and 122 ninety-two thousand (92000) links thence along the southern boundary of the said Run 129 and the eastern boundary of 162 one hundred and four thousand (104000) links thence along the northern and eastern boundaries of Run 162 and the northern boundary of Run 251 to Run 132 ninety-three thousand (93000) links thence along the north-eastern boundary of Run 132 eight thousand (8000) links thence along the south-eastern boundary of Run 102 thirty-two thousand five hundred (32500) links and thence in a southerly direction along the Waipahi Stream eleven thousand (11000) links to the starting point.

All that area in the Province of Otago containing by estimation fifty-four thousand two hundred and forty (54,240) acres more or less being Run numbered two hundred and thirty-five (235) on the map of the said Province bounded towards the north and the north-east by Runs numbered respectively 429 and 233 eighty-two thousand (82,000) links towards the east by Run numbered 201 one hundred and fourteen thousand (114,000) links towards the south-east by Run numbered 237 ninety-six thousand (96,000) links and towards the west by Lindesburn one hundred and thirty-six thousand (136,000) links be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
All that area in the Province of Otago containing by estimation fifty thousand (50,000) acres more or less being Run numbered three hundred and thirty-seven (337) on the map of the said Province bounded towards the north by the Province of Canterbury eighty-two thousand (82,000) links towards the east by Wanaka Lake one hundred and twenty thousand (120,000) links and towards the south-west by Runs numbered respectively 333 and Crown lands one hundred and twelve thousand (112,000) links be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
All that area in the Province of Otago containing by estimation forty thousand (40,000) acres more or less being Run numbered four hundred and three (408) on the map of the said Province bounded towards the north by Run numbered 322 ninety-six thousand (96,000) links towards the south-east by Run numbered 160 sixty-five thousand (65,000) links towards the south by Crown Lands and Run numbered 228 ninety-four thousand (94,000) links and towards the north-west by Run numbered 201 fifty-eight thousand (58,000) links be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
All that area in the Province of Otago containing by estimation one hundred and ninety-three thousand nine hundred and ten (193,910) acres more or less being Runs numbered respectively three hundred and thirty-one (331), three hundred and thirty-nine (339), and part of three hundred and thirty (part of 330) on the map of the said Province bounded towards the north by Run numbered 345 and Mining Reserve along the Kawarau and Clutha rivers two hundred and eighty thousand (280,000) links towards the east by Runs numbered respectively 325, 325A, and 437 one hundred and four thousand (104,000) links also by Run numbered 354 forty-eight thousand (48,000) links towards the south by Run numbered 325A eight thousand (8,000) links by Runs numbered respectively 354 and 437 one hundred and forty thousand (140,000) links also by Run numbered 323 twenty-four thousand (24,000) links and towards the west by the Wakatipu lake one hundred and fifty-four thousand (154,000) links be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
All that area in the Province of Otago containing by estimation one hundred and seventeen thousand six hundred (117,600) acres more or less being Runs numbered respectively three hundred and twenty-four (324) and three hundred and ninety-one (391) on the map of the said Province bounded towards the north by Run numbered 250 and Township Reserve and the Wakatipu Lake eighty thousand (80,000) links towards the east by Run numbered 438 and Crown lands two hundred and eighty-two thousand (282,000) links towards the south-east by the Province of
