NOTICE.

Of certain Land in the Province of Otago having been set apart for the Establishment and Maintenance of Public Schools in different parts of the said Province.

By His Honor William Alexander Tolmie, Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have under and by virtue of Section 62 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866" recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved from sale and set aside for and appropriated to the Establishment and Maintenance of Public Schools in different parts of the Province of Otago and for the general advancement of Education in the said Province.

And it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved and set aside for those purposes. Now therefore I William Alexander Tolmie Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described a Reserve for the establishment and maintenance of Public Schools in different parts of the Province of Otago and for the general advancement of Education in the said Province.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Province of Otago Colony of New Zealand containing by admeasurement one (1) rood and seventeen (17) poles more or less situate in the Township of Berwick being sections numbered 1 2 and 23 block I on the map of the said township bounded towards the north-east by School Reserve three hundred and sixteen (316) links towards the south-east by Lauder street one hundred and twenty (120) links towards the south-west by section numbered 22 two hundred and sixteen (216) links and section numbered 3 one hundred (100) links towards the north-west by part of section numbered 3 twenty (20) links and Tweed street one hundred (100) links.

Also section numbered 9 block XIII Township of Hawksbury containing by admeasurement one (1) rood and seventeen (17) poles more or less bounded towards the north-east by section numbered 8 one hundred and one (101) links towards the south-east by Crown lands three hundred and sixty-three (363) links towards the south-west by a street line one hundred (100) links and towards the north-west by section numbered 10 three hundred and fifty (350) links.

Also sections numbered 5 6 13 and 14 block IV Township of Arrowtown containing by admeasurement one (1) acre more or less bounded towards the north-east by Anglesea street two hundred and forty-seven (247) links towards the south-east by sections numbered 7 and 12 four hundred and four (404) links towards the south-west by Carnarvon street two hundred and forty-seven (247) links and towards the north-west by sections numbered 4 and 15 four hundred and four (404) links.

Also sections numbered 5 6 7 and 8 block II, Township of Roxburgh containing by admeasurement three (3) roods and twenty-four (24) poles more or less bounded towards the north-east by Cheviot street two hundred (200) links towards the south-east by sections numbered 9 and 10 four hundred and fifty (450) links towards the south-west by Scotland street two hundred (200) links and towards the north-west by sections numbered 3 and 4 four hundred and fifty (450) links.

Also sections numbered 1 2 17 18 19 and 20 block VIII Township of Balclutha containing by admeasurement one (1) acre and two (2) roods more or less bounded towards the north-east by sections numbered 3 and 16 five hundred (500) links towards the south-east by Glasgow street three hundred (300) links towards the south-west by Drumclog street five hundred (500) links and towards the north-west by Lanark street three hundred (300) links.

Also section numbered 1 block V Township of Arrowtown containing by admeasurement thirty-eight (38) poles more or less bounded towards the north-east by Hertford street one hundred and six (106) links towards the south-east by section numbered 2 two hundred and twenty-five (225) links towards the south-west by section numbered 7 one hundred and six (106) links and towards the north-west by School Reserve two hundred and twenty-five (225) links.

Also sections numbered 4 and 16 block III Township of Wetherston, containing by admeasurement twenty-seven (27) poles more or less bounded towards the north-west by Livingstone street seventy (70) links and section numbered 5 thirty-one and a-half (31ยฝ) links towards the south-east by section numbered 5 one hundred (100) links sections numbered 10 and 11 and part of section numbered 9 one hundred and six (106) links towards the south-west by Crown lands one hundred and one (101) links and towards the north-west by Crown lands one hundred and five (105) links.

All that area situate in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement two (2) acres three (3) roods and twenty-nine (29) poles more or less being section 2 town of Beauly and formerly part of section 50 and Ferry Reserve block I Clarendon Survey District bounded towards the north by the main south road three hundred and nineteen and five tenths (319.5) links and one hundred and forty-nine (149) links towards the east by section 1 town of Beauly two hundred and thirty (230) links towards the south-east by section 17 block I Clarendon seven hundred and one (701) links towards the south-west by Crown lands three hundred and three and five-tenths (303.5) links and by a road line one hundred and sixty-nine (169) links and towards the north-west by Crown lands and a road line four hundred and seventy-four (474) links.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement ten (10) acres more or less being section 49 block VI Clarendon district bounded towards the north by section 1 of 16 seven hundred and seventy (770) links towards the east by section 2 of 16 one thousand two hundred (1200) links towards the south by a road line six hundred (600) links and towards the west by section 1 of 16 one thousand five hundred and sixty (1560) links.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement ten (10) acres and three (3) poles more or less being section 17 block I Wyndham District bounded towards the north by a road line one thousand three hundred and forty-two (1342) links towards the east by section 2 of 16 one thousand two hundred (1200) links towards the south by a road line seven hundred and twenty-six (726) links towards the south-west by section 8 block I one thousand five hundred and twenty (1520) links and towards the west by section 22 said block I seven hundred (700) links.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement four (4) acres more or less being section 67 block IV Awamoko District bounded towards the north by a road line four hundred and eighty (480) links towards the south-east by a road line one thousand two hundred and fifty-five (1255) links towards the south by a road line two hundred and thirty (230) links and towards the west by a road line three hundred and seventy (370) links.
