NOTICE.—Whereas an application for Crown Grants for
Section 47, Port Chalmers ;
,, 21, North East Valley District ; and
,, 1, Block VIII, East Taieri District,
has been made to me on behalf of George Smyttan, of Canaan Park, Edinburgh, Scotland, Doctor of Medicine, under the New Zealand Company’s Land Claimants Ordinance, and which application has been duly referred to me for investigation ; and whereas certain persons are in possession of said lands and claim to be equitably entitled to the same: Notice is hereby given that I have appointed Thursday, the 16th day of July, at 12 o’clock noon, within my office, for the purpose of hearing and deciding the above claim, when all persons claiming any interest in the said sections are requested to attend and state the grounds of their objection, if any, to the claim of the said George Smyttan being granted.

NOTICE.—The undersigned, one of the Wardens of the Otago Gold Fields, having received sufficient proof that certain portions of the said Gold Fields should be brought under the provisions of Section 1, Regulation VI, Otago Gold Fields Regulations, do hereby notify that the undermentioned portions of the said Gold Fields may be occupied by holders of Miners’ Rights, under the provisions of the said Regulation VI, viz: ...
All that area known and previously proclaimed as the Upper Manuherikia District, with the following exceptions, viz:—
1st. That portion bounded by the Lauder Creek, Manuherikia River, Dunstan Creek, Welshman’s Gully, and Dunstan Range.
2nd. That portion bounded by Mount St. Bathan’s, Muddy Creek, the Road from Hill’s Creek to Dunstan Creek, the Blackstone Hill Range to where it joins the Hawkdown, and the Hawkdown Range, exclusive of Pennyweight Gully.
3rd. That portion bounded by Hill’s Creek, the Ida Burn, an imaginary line from the junction of the Poolburn and Idaburn going due east to the Rough Ridge, the Rough Ridge and Hawkdown Range.
4th. The Idaburn flat.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Court for the Revision of the Citizens’ Lists, year 1868-9, will sit at the City Council Chambers, Princes street, on Thursday, 9th July, 1868, at the hour of noon. Copies of the Citizens’ Roll, to be revised, price 6d each Ward, may now be obtained at the Town Clerk’s office.
