ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF THE PROVINCE OF OTAGO.—In pursuance of the Provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," and also of an Act of the aforesaid General Assembly, intituled "The Provincial Elections Act, 1858," I, John Gillies, Principal Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the Province of Otago, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a writ, bearing date the tenth day of January, 1867, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an Election will be held for the return of a legally qualified person to serve as Superintendent of the said Province of Otago; and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Provincial Government Buildings, Dunedin, on Monday, the 4th day of February, 1867, at 12 o’clock noon, and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Wednesday, the twentieth day of February, 1867.
