1865," it is amongst other things enacted in the fifth Section thereof--That for the purposes of the said Ordinance, so much of the said Province as is subject to the provisions of the said Ordinance may from time to time be divided into districts, and until otherwise provided, pursuant to the provisions of the now recited Ordinance, there shall be sixty-one districts, which should be named as specified in the Schedule to the said Ordinance annexed marked B: And it is also by the said fifth section provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, with the advice and consent of the General Road Board, from time to time, by proclamation in the Gazette, to alter, vary, diminish, or enlarge the boundaries of any or all of such districts,

And whereas it is deemed advisable to alter the boundaries of the Milton and Hillingdon Road Districts by diminishing the boundaries of the Milton Road District, and enlarging the boundaries of the Hillingdon Road District in the manner and as described in the Schedules hereto; Now therefore

I, Thomas Dick, Esquire, Superintendent of the said Province, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the said Milton Road District shall from the day and date hereof be altered and diminished, and that the boundaries of the said district shall henceforth be as described in the first Schedule hereto: And I do hereby further proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the said Hillingdon Road District shall, from the day and date hereof, be altered and enlarged, and that the boundaries of the said district shall henceforth be as described in the second schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE I.

THE MILTON ROAD DISTRICT shall comprise all that area bounded on the north-west by sections 50, 49, and 48, block II, Table Hill Survey District, block XXIII, Tokomairiro Survey District, and section 198, block XXV, Tokomairiro Survey District; on the south-west by Tokomairiro River to section 8, block XXX, Tokomairiro Survey District, section 1, block XXXII, and parts sections 3 and 11, and section 4, block XXXI, Tokomairiro Survey District, sections 32, 20, and 19, block I, Kaitangata to Tokumairiro River, thence by the said river to the south-east angle of section 30, block VI, Akatore; on the east by section 29, block VI, Akatore, and by sections 23, 33, 32, and 31, block I, Akatore, thence by surveyed road line to north-east angle of section 30, thence on the north by northern boundary of said section 30, to south-east angle of section 3, block I, Akatore, thence on the east by the eastern boundaries of said section to its north-east angle; thence on the north by section 2, block I, Akatore, section 86, block X, Tokomairiro Survey District, sections 93 and 98, block XI, sections 105 and 110, block XII, section 117, block XII, and section 127, block XV, Tokomairiro Survey District.

SCHEDULE II.

THE HILLINGDON ROAD DISTRICT shall comprise all that area bounded on the north by block II, Akatore Survey District; on the west by sections 10 and 12, block I, Akatore; on the north by sections 12 and 11, block I, Akatore, thence following road line to north-east angle of section 31, thence on the west by the eastern boundary of the Milton District; on the south by the Tokomairiro River to the ocean; on the south-east by the ocean; and on the east by the Koaura or Shag Creek.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, at (L.S.) Dunedin, this 28th day of December, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

NOTICE

Certain Land at Oamaru having been reserved for a Race Course.

By His Honor THOMAS DICK, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of the 62nd Section of the "Otago Waste Lands Act, 1866," recommended that the land herein described should be reserved for a Race Course at Oamaru: And whereas it is expedient that the said land should be so reserved for that purpose: Now, therefore, I, Thomas Dick, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf by the "Otago Waste Lands Act, 1866," do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the land hereinafter described a Race Course, henceforth to be known as the "Oamaru Race Course Reserve," that is to sayโ€”

All that area situate in the Province of Otago, containing by admeasurement one hundred and ninety-one (191) acres, more or less, being Sections numbered respectively 28, 29, 31, 34, 2 of 56, 2 of 58, 2 of 60, and 2 of 61, Block I, Oamaru District, bounded towards the north east by Sections numbered respectively 37, and 1 of 61 four thousand eight hundred and fifty (4850) links; towards the south east by road line, four thousand eight hundred (4800) links; towards the south west by a Section numbered 26, three thousand two hundred thirty (3230) links; and towards the west south west by a road line four thousand five hundred (4500) links; and towards the west by a road line six hundred (600) links, as the same is delineated on the Map of the said Oamaru District, deposited in the Survey Office, Dunedin.

Of certain Land in the Incorporated Town of Hawksbury having been reserved for a Recreation Ground.

By His Honor, THOMAS DICK, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have under and by virtue of Section 62 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act, 1866," recommended that the Land hereinafter described should be reserved for a Recreation Ground for the Incorporated Town of Hawksbury, and it is expedient that the said Land should be so reserved for that purpose. Now therefore

I, Thomas Dick, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf by the "Otago Waste Lands Act, 1866," do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the land hereinafter described a Reserve for a Recreation Ground for the Incorporated Town of Hawksbury, henceforth to be known as the Hawksbury Recreation Reserve, that is to say:

All that area in the Province of Otago, containing by admeasurement seven (7) acres and thirty-six (36) poles, more or less, situate in the Town of Hawksbury, being sections numbered respectively 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, Block XI., and sections numbered respectively 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, Block XII., together with the land in rear of the said sections and extending to the Lagoon, as delineated on the map of the said Town, bounded towards the north-west by sections numbered respectively 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block XII., five hundred (500) links; also sections numbered respectively 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block XI., five hundred (500) links; towards the north-east, by a street line and Crown lands nine hundred and eighty (980) links;
