south-westerly direction along the south-eastern boundary of the aforesaid Coal Reserve and its continuation in the same direction to the head of the Tuakitoto Lake, thence in a southerly direction along the Tuakitoto Lake and Stream to the Kaitangata Lake, thence along the Kaitangata Lake and Stream to the Clutha River, thence in a northerly direction along the Clutha River to the TallaBurn, thence by a line to the summit of the Tapanui Range, thence to Rankleburn at its source, and by Rankleburn, Pomahaka, and Waipahi Rivers to the southern boundary line of Run numbered 167, thence by the said southern boundary line to the Waikaka Stream, and by the Waikaka Stream to the Mataura River, and by the Mataura River and the northern boundary line of the Province of Southland to the Manipori Lake, thence by the Waiau River to the Ocean, and thence towards the south and west by the Ocean to Awarua Bay, the starting point.

PROCLAMATION.
Boundaries of Goodwood Road District altered and enlarged.
By His Honor Thomas Dick, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by an Ordinance passed by the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, intituled the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865,” it is amongst other things enacted, that until otherwise provided, pursuant to the provisions of the said Ordinance, there should be sixty-one districts, which should be named as specified in the Schedule to the said Ordinance annexed, marked B: And it is also by the said Ordinance provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, from time to time, by Proclamation in the Gazette, to alter, vary, diminish, or enlarge the boundaries of any or all of such districts; And whereas it is expedient to alter and extend the boundaries of the Goodwood Road District in manner and as described in the Schedule hereto;
Now therefore I, Thomas Dick, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the said Goodwood Road District shall, from the day of the date hereof, be altered and extended, and that the boundaries of the Goodwood Road District shall henceforth be as described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
THE GOODWOOD ROAD DISTRICT shall comprise all that area bounded on the north by sections 47, 46, 45, 56, and 35, block III, Hawksbury Survey District, and by sections 67, 66, and 65, block IV, Hawksbury Survey District; on the west by sections 12 and 16, block II, Hawksbury Survey District; on the south by sections 1, 2, and 3, block I, Hawksbury Survey District; again on the west by section 5, and by a direct line from the southern angle of section 5 to north-east angle of section 38, block I, Hawksbury Survey District, thence by Bush Reserve and section 33, block II, Hawksbury Survey District; on the south-west and south by Main North Road, section 44, block IV, Hawksbury Survey District, and
Pleasant River to the Ocean; on the east by Ocean to eastern angle of section 50, block III, Hawksbury Survey District.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of Otago, at Dunedin, this (L.S.) twentieth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

Road District of Popotunoa formed.
By His Honor Thomas Dick, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by an Ordinance, passed by the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, intituled the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865,” it is amongst other things enacted that, until otherwise provided, pursuant to the provisions of the said Ordinance, there should be sixty-one districts which should be named as specified in the Schedule to the said Ordinance annexed, marked B: And it is also by the said Ordinance provided that it should be lawful for the Superintendent, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, from time to time, by Proclamation in the Gazette, to alter, vary, diminish, or enlarge the boundaries of any or all of such districts, and to increase the number of districts by forming and naming new districts.
And whereas it is expedient to form a new Road District to be named the Popotunoa Road District;
Now therefore I, Thomas Dick, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area bounded as described in the Schedule hereto shall, from the day of the date hereof, be constituted a Road District, and shall be named the Popotunoa Road District.
SCHEDULE.
Popotunoa Road District shall comprise all that area bounded on the north by the Pomahaka and Clutha Rivers; on the east by road line through block IV, Pomahaka Survey District, same forming western boundary of Te Houka Road District to section 12, block LXXXVII, Clutha Survey District; thence following northern boundary of Kaihiku Road District, and northern and eastern boundaries of the Waiwera Road District; thence by Waiwera River to southern boundary of block I, Kuriwao Survey District; thence on the south by southern boundaries of blocks I and II, Kuriwao Survey District, and said line continued to south-eastern boundary of said Waipahi Survey District; on the north-west by portion of south-eastern boundary of said Waipahi Survey District to north-western boundary of block IX, Pomahaka Survey District; thence by said boundary line to block XI, Pomahaka Survey District; on the west by western boundary of block II, Pomahaka Survey District to the Wairuna Creek; thence by said Creek to Pomahaka River.
