FRANKTON CEMETERY MANAGERS.

His Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has appointed the following persons, namely:--

JAMES CORBETT,
JOHN BRADEN,
JOHN HUMPHREY,
JAMES DOUGLASS,

to be Managers of the Reserve set aside for the purpose of a Public Cemetery by the "Cemeteries Ordinance, 1865," viz.:--All that area containing nine acres two roods, and nineteen poles, more or less, together with all that area containing, by admeasurement three roods and eight poles, more or less, and marked Cemetery Reserves, as delineated on the Record Map of the said Town, deposited in the Provincial Survey Office for the Province of Otago.

KAIKORAI TOLL.—Notice is hereby given that on and after Saturday the first day of December proximo, the Tolls contained in the list appended hereto may be taken at the Kaikorai Toll Bar (that is to say):—

(1.) For every horse or other beast drawing any coach, chariot, landau, brouche, chaise, phaeton, curricle, car, gig, or any such like carriage—one shilling.

(2.) For every horse or other beast (but two oxen or neat cattle to count as one horse), drawing any waggon, wain, or other such like carriage—one shilling. When the tire of each wheel is four inches broad or upwards—ninepence.

(3.) For every horse or other beast drawing any cart or dray on two wheels—sixpence.

(4.) For every horse, mule, or ass, laden or unladen, and not drawing—sixpence.

(5.) For every drove of horses, mules, or asses, unladen, and not drawing—three pence for every head.

(6.) For every drove of oxen, cows, or neat cattle—the sum of three shillings and four pence per score, and so in proportion for any greater or less number.

(7.) For every drove of calves, swine, goats, sheep, or lambs—the sum of ten pence per score, and so in proportion for any greater or less number.

Delegation to the Superintendent, under the “Gold Fields Act.”

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Gold Fields Act, 1866," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor in Council, under his hand and the Public Seal of the Colony, from time to time, to delegate to the Superintendent of any Province, or such other person as the Governor may deem fit, all or any of the powers vested in the Governor, or the Governor in Council, by the Act now in recital, except the powers conferred by sections twenty-two, forty, forty-eight, sixty, ninety-six, and one hundred and seven, of the said Act, subject or not to any limitations or restrictions as he may think fit, and in like manner to alter or revoke any such powers.

Now therefore I, Sir George Grey, the Governor as aforesaid of the said Colony, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, and in the exercise of the power and authority for this purpose in me vested, do hereby delegate unto

THOMAS DICK, Esquire,

as Superintendent of the Province of Otago, all the powers vested in me, under or by virtue of the said "Gold Fields Act, 1866," except the powers conferred by sections twenty-two, forty, forty-eight, sixty, ninety-six, and one hundred and seven, to have, hold, and exercise within the Province of Otago the said powers hereby given to the said THOMAS DICK, Esquire, so long as he shall continue and remain Superintendent of the said Province, and no longer: Provided always that copies of all Rules and Regulations made under the delegation aforesaid shall be forthwith transmitted to the Colonial Secretary, in order that the same may be laid before the General Assembly, in accordance with the provisions of the one hundred and tenth clause of the "Gold Fields Act, 1866."

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir George Grey, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, at the Government House, at Wellington, and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, this twelfth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

In the matter of the NEW ZEALAND BANKING CORPORATION, Limited; and in the matter of the Companies Act, 1862.

The Creditors of the above-named Corporation resident in New Zealand and the Australasian Colonies, are required, on or before the 31st day of January, 1867, to send their names and addresses, and the particulars of their debts and claims, and the names and addresses of their solicitors, if any, to Thomas Stephen Evans, at the Commercial Bank of New Zealand, Manse Street, Dunedin, one of the official liquidators of the above-named Corporation; and if so required, by notice in writing from the said official liquidator, are, by their solicitors, to come in and prove their debts or claims at the said offices of the said official liquidator at such time as shall be specified in such notice; or in default, they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

The 1st day of May, 1867, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, at the Chambers of the Master of the Rolls, in Rolls Yard, Chancery Lane, London, England, is appointed for hearing and adjudicating upon the debts and claims.
