not exceeded twenty acres, one pound.
For any larger area at the rate of one shilling per acre or any portion of an acre.
And thirty shillings per diem extra when the time occupied in such Survey extends beyond one day.
One shilling per acre to be charged for Survey, and one pound to be the minimum fee in any case.

PROCLAMATION
Reserving for purposes of Sale, and exempting from Mining Operations the Town of Naseby, in the Province of Otago.
By His Honor Thomas Dick, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the seventeenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, published in the Government Gazette of the said Province, certain lands were constituted a Gold Field under the name of the “Mount Ida Gold Field,” and the limits of the same were thereby defined: And whereas the lands hereinafter described as contained within and occupied by the Town of Naseby are within the limits of the said Mount Ida Gold Field: And whereas I deem it necessary to withdraw the said lands hereinafter described from the said Mount Ida Gold Field; Now therefore I, Thomas Dick, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue of the powers delegated to and vested in me in this behalf by His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand in Council, under the authority of the “Gold Fields Acts Amendment Act, 1865,” do hereby proclaim and declare that I do withdraw from the said Mount Ida Gold Field the lands hereinafter described as contained within and occupied by the Town of Naseby, that is to say—All that area of land situate in the “Mount Ida Gold Field,” in the Province of Otago, containing sections numbered respectively from 1 to 78, both inclusive, of block I; sections numbered respectively from 1 to 21, both inclusive, of block II; sections numbered respectively from 1 to 16, both inclusive, of block III; sections numbered respectively from 1 to 16, both inclusive, of block IV; sections numbered respectively from 1 to 20, both inclusive, of block V; sections numbered respectively from 1 to 22, both inclusive of block VI; sections numbered respectively from 1 to 22, both inclusive, of block VII; sections numbered respectively from 1 to 32, both inclusive, of block IX; sections numbered respectively from 1 to 22, both inclusive, of block X; sections numbered respectively from 1 to 22, both inclusive, of block XI; sections numbered respectively from 1 to 22, both inclusive, of block XII; sections numbered respectively from 1 to 29, both inclusive, of block XIII; sections numbered respectively from 1 to 29, both inclusive, of block XIV; sections numbered respectively from 1 to 22, both inclusive, of block XV; sections numbered respectively from 1 to 22, both inclusive, of block XVI; together with all streets and street lines and areas marked “Cemetery Reserves,” as shown on the record map of the Town of Naseby, deposited in the Provincial Survey Office, in the Town of Dunedin, in the said Province: And in exercise of the power vested in me in this behalf, I do proclaim and declare all the said lands hereinbefore described and included within the said Town of Naseby to be exempt from occupation under any Miner’s Right or Business License.
