ROAD METAL FOR DUNEDIN.

TENDERS will be received until noon of Tuesday, 25th April current, at the Provincial Secretary’s Office, for the supply of one thousand cubic yards of Road Metal, for the Main Street through Dunedin.

APPOINTMENT TO BE MADE.

AN OVERSEER at H.M.’s Gaol, used to Quarrying and Blasting operations. Apply in writing by noon of 27th April current to the Provincial Secretary.

THE following is a list of Persons who have taken out Depasturing Licences in the Hundred of Hawksbury prior to 1st January, 1865, for the current year, viz.:

James Henderson, William Kennard, sen., Andrew Thompson, Adam Oliver, Neilson and Fullarton, James P. Hepburn, William Mitchell, James Mitchell, Alexander M’Laren, Robert Mitchell, Robert Donaldson, John Jones, sen., Alfred S. Jones, James Jones, John R. Jones, Robert Oxley, William Souter, Donald M’Nichol, James S. Young, Thomas Johnstone, Francis Franks, William Jones, Fred. Jones, William Heckler.

In terms of the 60th Clause of the Waste Land Regulations, I hereby call a Meeting of the persons whose names appear in the above list, to elect from amongst themselves three persons to act as Wardens in the Hundred of Hawksbury; said meeting to be held within the Court House, Hawksbury, on Wednesday, the 26th instant, at one o’clock p.m.

WEST TAIERI HUNDRED.

THE Wardens of the West Taieri Hundred have adopted the Bye-Laws published by the Wardens of the Oamaru Hundred for 1864, vide Gazette, No. 238, and have also adopted the following Bye-Laws, viz.:

That all Cattle dying on the Hundred shall be buried by the owner or owners, within 24 hours after death, to the depth of 4 feet, under a penalty not exceeding £5.

That every holder of a Depasturing Licence shall be allowed to run one head of Cattle for every five acres occupied by him within the said Hundred.

That two Pounds shall be erected within the Hundred, the one on the Waipori Plain and the other on the west side of the boundary Creek.
