to be Mining Registrar, Clerk of the Resident Magistrate’s Court, and Clerk of Warden’s Court at the Arrow, vice Charles Macindoe, whose services have been dispensed with. Appointment to date from 1st April current.

AUCTIONEER’S LICENCE.

In accordance with section 8 of the “Auctioneers’ Ordinance, 1862,” a special meeting will be held in the Provincial Secretary’s office, Dunedin, upon Thursday, the 4th day of May, 1865, at 2 o’clock p.m., to consider the application of Matthew Robertson Miller.

The following Householders have signed the Certificate:—Royse, Mudie and Co., Driver, Maclean and Co., R. B. Martin and Co., A. Jackson, John M’Lean, J. T. T. Boyd.

HULK FOR SALE.

Fresh tenders will be received at the Superintendent’s Office, Dunedin, until noon Friday, 28th April, 1865, from parties willing to purchase the Hulk “Thomas and Henry,” as she now lies at Port Chalmers.

The Government will not be bound to accept the highest or any of the tenders.
