TUAKITOTO DISTRICT ROAD BOARD.
MEETING FOR ELECTION OF DISTRICT BOARD OF ROAD TRUSTEES.
The Ratepayers in the Tuakitoto Road District having failed to attend the meeting for the election of District Road Trustees, called by advertisement in the Government Advertising Sheet for 5th March, 1865, notice is hereby given that a Meeting for the above purpose will be held at the house of Mr. Peter Cunningham, within the said district, on Tuesday, the 25th day of April, at 1 o’clock p.m.
Special attention is directed to the 7th and 9th sections of the “Roads Ordinance, 1856,” regulating the proceedings for the Election of District Road Trustees.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership subsisting between the undersigned Frederick Thomas Walker and Sir Henry Edward Fox Young, C.B., in the business or occupation of Runholders and Sheep Farmers, carried on by them upon the Oamaruama Stations, in the Province of Otago, under the style or firm of “F. T. Walker & Co.,” was this day dissolved by mutual consent.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
Delegating certain powers in respect of Native Reserves at Dunedin and Port Chalmers, to A. H. C. Strode, Esq.
G. Grey,
Governor.
At the Government House at Auckland, the sixth day of January, 1865.
Present—
His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by “The Native Reserves Amendment Act, 1862” it is enacted that the Governor may by Order in Council from time to time delegate all or any of the powers competent to the Commissioners appointed under “The New Zealand Native Reserves Act 1856” unto any person or persons for any period and subject to such regulations and restrictions or stipulations as may be specified in such Order, and every such delegation may from time to time in like manner be altered or revoked. Now therefore His Excellency the Governor by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony doth hereby delegate unto Alfred Rowland Chetham Strode, of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, Esquire, all of the powers competent to be exercised by Commissioners appointed under “The New Zealand Native Reserves Act, 1856,” in respect of the Native Reserves set apart within the Towns of Dunedin and Port Chalmers, in the said Province, subject to such regulations, restrictions or stipulations, as His Excellency the Governor may from time to time by Order in Council issue in that behalf.

IT is hereby notified that Rules Nos. 2 and 9 for the conduct of Criminal Prosecutions, published in the New Zealand Gazette, (No. 8) of the 3rd of March, 1865, are suspended for the present.

Officers of the General Government not to take part in Political Demonstrations.

IT has been recently brought under the notice of the General Government that some of its officers have signed Public Memorials of a political character, and have otherwise taken a prominent part in political demonstrations.
The attention of such officers, especially where, as in some instances, they hold Judicial Offices, is called to the desirability of their abstaining in future from proceedings of this kind.
Officers employed in the service of the General Government are also expected to refrain from taking any part in Elections for Members of the General Assembly beyond recording their votes, if they desire to do so.
