Land and Immigration Notices




THE Public are requested to observe that business with the Land Department must be transacted by personal attendance, or by an agent. The increase of the business of the Office rendering it impossible to reply to written communications, except in special cases.

ALL Persons having unsettled claims for Land, acquired either by purchase whilst the land was unsurveyed, or under pre-emptive rights, or under any ordinance, within any surveyed blocks of land advertised as open for application, are requested to call at the Land Office and have their claims adjusted before the date of the decision on the particular block, or the Government will not be responsible should the land over which such claim, or claims exist be sold, but the purchase will be deemed to have lapsed under the 15th clause of the Land Regulations.

are hereby informed that unless payment be made, or satisfactory arrangements entered into for the payment of the balances due by them on account of their passages, on or before the 31st March instant, legal proceedings will be instituted for the recovery of the debt without any further notice.
