HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has been pleased to appoint

MR. JAMES MILLS,

Inspector of Weights and Measures, Dunedin, to be Inspector for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of the “Bread Ordinance 1863.”

LOWER TAIERI FERRY.

TENDERS will be received at the Provincial Secretary’s Office until noon of Tuesday, 5th January 1864, for the Lease of the said Ferry House and Reserve till 31st December 1864. Tender to state the rate per annum, and the date when possession can be taken by the party tendering.

KEROSENE OIL.

TENDERS will be received at the Provincial Storekeeper’s Office till noon, 5th Jan. proximo, for supplying the Police Department with Kerosene Oil for the period ending 30th June, 1864.

TENDERS will be received at the Provincial Storekeeper’s Office till noon of 12th January, 1864, for supplying the Molyneux Ferry Police Station with Fuel for the period ending 30th June 1864.

Bread, @ 4d lb loaf.

Butter, @ 8d lb

*Tea, @ 2s lb

Salt, @ 2d lb

Soap, @ 3d lb

Candles, Sperm, @ 1s lb.

Tenders to be sent to the Provincial Treasurer’s Office, till noon of Tuesday, 5th January, 1864.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary of Public Works until noon of Monday, the 4th day of January 1864, for a 3-ton and 5-ton Moveable Crane, to be placed on the Jetty-street Jetty. Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin.

Fuel.—Coal Creek, for same period, Coal, £2 per ton. James Morrison.

Fuel.—Waipori, for same period, Firewood, £8 per cord. Donald Whittington.

Fuel.—Woolshed, two cords of Firewood, £3 9s. per cord. Alexander Campbell.

Fuel.—Tuapeka and Wetherstones, for 6 Months, commencing 26th November, 1863.—Lignite, £1 per ton. George Walker.
