IMPOUNDED on the twenty-third day of December, 1863, by J. Werner, one Bay Gelding, no brand, owner unknown, trespassing on J. Werner’s paddock, in the Kaikorai Valley, for which five pounds special damages are claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound, at South Dunedin, on Wednesday, the twentieth day of January, 1864, at 12 o’clock noon.

NOTICE is hereby given that ANDREW HALDANE has applied for a License to erect a Saw Mill of 16 horse-power, in the Tautuku Bush, and to have the exclusive right to get timber on 480 acres of land in that locality, the boundaries of which may be seen at the Waste Land Board Office, Dunedin.
Any person having objections to make to the granting of such License, must give notice of such objections in writing, to be delivered at the Waste Land Board Office, on or before Friday, the twenty-ninth January next.

NOTICE is hereby given that Joseph Hastie of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, and Colony of New Zealand, baker, has, by deed of a signment, bearing date the twenty-fourth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and made between the said Joseph Hastie, of the first part, Alexander Carrick of Dunedin, aforesaid, merchant, of the second part; and the several other persons or parties whose names and seals are thereunto subscribed and set, being several creditors in their own right or in copartnership or being agents or attorneys of creditors of the said Joseph Hastie, of the third part, assigned all and singular, the stock-in-trade, goods, chattels, credits, and other personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever, of him, the said Joseph Hastie, or of, in or to which he, the said Joseph Hastie, or any person or persons in trust for him, is or are possessed or entitled unto the said Alexander Carrick and William Royse, in trust for all the creditors of the said Joseph Hastie; and Notice is hereby further given that the said Deed now lies for signature by and on behalf of the Creditors of the said Joseph Hastie, at the offices of Messrs. Prendergast, Kenyon and Maddock, in Manse-street, Dunedin, aforesaid, Solicitors.
Dated this twenty-fourth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.
