Notification of Rates of Levy Under the Biosecurity (System Entry Levy) Order 2010 (Notice No. MPI 637)

Pursuant to clause 11(2) of the Biosecurity (System Entry Levy) Order 2010, I hereby notify that the levy rate for the year beginning 1 July 2016 and ending 30 June 2017 is as follows:

a. $13.15 per importation for which an inward cargo transaction fee is payable under Regulation 13A(2)(a) of the Customs and Excise Regulations 1996 in respect of cargo or goods carried on a ship or boat;

b. $13.15 per importation for which an inward cargo transaction fee is payable under Regulation 13A(2)(b) of those Regulations in respect of goods or cargo carried on an aircraft; and

c. $17.37 per importation for which an import entry transaction fee is payable under Regulation 24A of those Regulations.

These rates are exclusive of GST.

Notice of Dissolution of the Omahu School Board of Trustees (2626) and Direction to Appoint a Commissioner, and Revocation of Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Omahu School (2626) Board of Trustees

Under section 78N(1) of the Education Act 1989, the Omahu School (2626) Board of Trustees is now dissolved and I direct the Secretary for Education (or delegate) to appoint a commissioner to replace that board.

The notice of direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Omahu School (2626) Board of Trustees (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 18 December 2014, Issue No. 153, Notice No. 2014-go7738) is revoked under section 78M(7) of the Education Act 1989.

This notice takes effect on the day of publication.

Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Kaingaroa Forest School (1759) Board of Trustees

Under section 78M of the Education Act 1989, with delegated authority from the Minister of Education, I hereby direct the appointment of a limited statutory manager for the Kaingaroa Forest School (1759) Board of Trustees.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
all functions, powers and duties of the board in financial management (whether statutory or otherwise); and
all functions, powers and duties of the board in curriculum management (whether statutory or otherwise).

A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on property management and board systems and processes.
