Revocation of Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Waiuku Primary School (1559) Board of Trustees
Under section 78M(7) of the Education Act 1989, (acting under delegated authority) I revoke the notice of direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Waiuku Primary School (1559) Board of Trustees (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 26 June 2014, No. 68, page 1917).
This notice takes effect on the day of publication.

Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Auckland Girls’ Grammar School (53) Board of Trustees
Under section 78M of the Education Act 1989, with delegated authority from the Minister of Education, I hereby direct the appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Auckland Girls’ Grammar School (53) Board of Trustees.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:
- All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
- all functions, powers and duties of the board in the management of health and safety of staff and students (whether statutory or otherwise);
- all functions, powers and duties of the board in curriculum management (whether statutory or otherwise);
- all functions, powers and duties of the board (whether statutory or otherwise) to establish processes for effective governance;
- all functions, powers and duties of the board to establish processes for planning and reporting (whether statutory or otherwise) including charter review, strategic planning and annual planning; and
- all functions, powers and duties of the board to establish procedures and processes (whether statutory or otherwise) for school wide self-review.
A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following matters:
- Communications management (whether statutory or otherwise) including communications with the media, communications within the school, and communications between the school and its community; and
- consolidating all new and improved systems into board management practice.
This notice takes effect on the date of publication.
