Whakaari / White Island Canyon
Undersea Canyon
37°35′S Latitude, 177°14.20′E Longitude. A southwest-northeast aligned undersea canyon 550m to 1100m deep, located at the head of Whakaari / White Island Trough, just offshore from the continental slope and southeast of Whakaari / White Island.

Whakaari / White Island Ridge
Undersea Ridge
37°30.18′S Latitude, 177°09.70′E Longitude to 37°16.90′S Latitude, 177°23.54′E Longitude. A southwest-northeast trending undersea ridge that extends for 32km northwards from Whakaari / White Island, perpendicular to the regional slope. The crest of the ridge is between 500m and 1500m deep.

Whakaari / White Island Sea Valley
Undersea Valley
37°41′S Latitude, 177°05′E Longitude. An undersea valley with an overall depth of less than 200m, located on the continental slope approximately 20km southwest of Whakaari / White Island.

A group of hills approximately 3.5km long trending north-south bounded by Camp Stream to the north and Esk River to the south.
Approximately 15km northeast of Waimakariri River in the foothills of Southern Alps / Kā Tiritiri o te Moana. NZTopo50-BV22 207422 to 215394 (heights 1110m to 914m). Alteration of name and extent from Nigger Hill (recorded name).
Pūkio Stream
Stream
A stream flowing south from Mount Turnbull on The Candlesticks (range) to Esk River, through Lochinvar Forest Conservation Area.
Approximately 15km northeast of Waimakariri River in the foothills of Southern Alps / Kā Tiritiri o te Moana. NZTopo50-BV22 221542 (source) to 228384 (confluence). Alteration from Nigger Stream (recorded name).
Tawhai Hill
Hill
A 1395m hill rising above the northern shores of Lake Sumner within Lake Sumner Forest Park, in the foothills of Southern Alps / Kā Tiritiri o te Moana. NZTopo50-BU22 349757. Alteration from Niggerhead (recorded name).
