Securities Markets Act 1988

Notice Under Section 36E(9) of the Securities Markets Act 1988

Pursuant to section 36E of the Securities Markets Act 1988, the Minister of Commerce on 10 July 2014 approved an exemption from section 36L(1)(b) of the Securities Markets Act 1988 for a new market, which is targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises, to be operated by NZX Limited, as contained in the Securities Markets Act (NZX–New Market) Exemption Notice 2014.

Conservation

Marine Mammals Protection Regulations 1992

Amendment to Declaration Notice

Pursuant to Regulation 15 of the Marine Mammals Protection Regulations 1992, and pursuant to an Instrument of Delegation dated 13 November 2013 from the Director-General of Conservation, I, Kay Booth, Deputy Director-General, Conservation Partnerships, Department of Conservation, hereby amend the moratorium dated the 11th day of October 2010 (published in the New Zealand Gazette, 21 October 2010, No. 143, page 3576), and the subsequent Amendment to Declaration Notice dated the 25th day of January 2013 (New Zealand Gazette, 31 January 2013, No. 11, page 382), and the subsequent Amendment to Declaration Notice dated the 10th day of October 2013 (New Zealand Gazette, 17 October 2013, No. 143, page 3906), by extending its term to 31 July 2018 inclusive.

Education Act 1989

Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Tamariki School Board of Trustees (4143)

Under section 78M of the Education Act 1989, with delegated authority from the Minister of Education, I direct the Secretary for Education (or delegate) to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Tamariki School Board of Trustees.

All the functions, powers and duties of the board in student achievement, including curriculum management, and teaching and assessment practice (whether statutory or otherwise) are vested in a limited statutory manager.

This notice takes effect on the day of publication.

Revocation of Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Otepoti Board of Trustees (2351)

Under section 78M(7) of the Education Act 1989, (acting under delegated authority) I hereby revoke the notice (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 21 November 2013, No. 152, page 4205) appointing a limited statutory manager for the Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Otepoti Board of Trustees.

Education (Early Childhood Centres)

Regulations 1998

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12(1)(d)(i) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 28 March 2013, which was granted under those Regulations to Nadia Packer in respect of Manuka Early Learning Centre (65405), situated at 11 Wainui Street, The Wood, Nelson.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
