Effective Date of Amendment to Material Incorporated by Reference into Civil Aviation Rules

In accordance with section 36(5) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notice is hereby given that the following material incorporated by reference under section 36(1) of the Act into Civil Aviation Rule Part 121 shall take effect on 16 January 2013:

Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996

Notice of Approval of Code of Practice

Pursuant to section 79(5) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (“HSNO Act”), the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) advises that it approved on 23 October 2012, the Code of Practice HSNOCOP 61 Rotationally Moulded Polythene Storage Tanks for Non Flammable Hazardous Substances.

This code has been developed by the Association of Rotational Moulders Australasia Inc. and provides a means of compliance with the provisions of clauses 8(2)(h), 77(b) and 93 of Schedule 8 of the Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods and Scheduled Toxic Substances) Transfer Notice 2004.

It provides for a design standard of a stationary tank as an alternative to the specified standards.

Pursuant to section 80(1) of the HSNO Act, this code may be inspected on request at the Wellington office of the Environmental Protection Authority, Level 10, 215 Lambton Quay, Wellington.

Notice of Variation to Appointment of Default KiwiSaver Provider – KiwiSaver Default Provider (OnePath (NZ) Limited) Amendment Notice 2012 (No. 1)

Pursuant to sub-sections 180(1)(d) and 180(2) of the KiwiSaver Act 2006, notice is given of a variation to the instrument of appointment appointing OnePath (NZ) Limited as a KiwiSaver Default Provider.

Pursuant to clause 10 of the KiwiSaver Default Provider (OnePath (NZ) Limited) Notice 2007, the Minister of Finance and Minister of Commerce jointly give the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title—(1) This is the KiwiSaver Default Provider (OnePath (NZ) Limited) Amendment Notice 2012 (No. 1).

(2) In this notice, the KiwiSaver Default Provider (OnePath (NZ) Limited) Notice 2007, dated the 2nd day of April 2007*, as amended from time to time, is called the principal notice.

  1. Commencement—This notice comes into force on the day after the date on which it is published in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. Principal notice amended—With effect from 1 December 2012, the principal notice is varied to reflect the following changes:

  • Appendix 2 of the principal notice is amended by deleting from the Fee type – “Switching fees” the words “Two free switches per annum, thereafter a switching fee of up to $25 for each subsequent switch transaction” and replacing them with the word “Nil”.

  • Appendix 2 of the principal notice is amended by deleting from the Fee type – “Trustee fees” the expression “0.05%” and replacing it with “0.04%”.
