Industry Training Act 1992

Notice of Recognition for the New Zealand Industry Training Organisation Incorporated

Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, full recognition is given to the New Zealand Industry Training Organisation Incorporated for a period of five years with effect from 3 November 2012 to set standards at Levels 1–8 on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework for the dairy manufacturing industry, the meat processing industry (excluding poultry), the leather manufacturing industry, the animal products inspection industry, the baking yeasts manufacturing industry, fellmongery, and the seafood industry.

Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Act 2011

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Convention Centre Precinct

Notice is hereby given, under section 54 of the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Act 2011, that the Minister for Canterbury Earthquake Recovery proposes to take the land described in the Schedule to this notice.

The exercise of this power is in accordance with section 10 of that Act.

The land is required for the implementation of the Christchurch Central Recovery Plan and it is intended to use the land for the purposes of a Convention Centre Precinct.

The reasons why the Minister for Canterbury Earthquake Recovery considers it necessary to take the land are as follows:

(a) The Convention Centre Precinct is an integral part of the Christchurch Central Recovery Plan;

(b) The land described in the Schedule to this notice has been identified as the most appropriate location for the Convention Centre Precinct; and

(c) The Convention Centre Precinct cannot be properly constructed and operated without all interests in the land being acquired.

The owners of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with a notice of intention to take land.
