Land Acquired for the Functioning Indirectly of a Road—Te Awamutu Bypass, Waipa District

Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Ronald Alistair Jolly, Land Information New Zealand, declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired for the functioning indirectly of a road and vested in the Waipa District Council on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

Reserves Act 1977

Classification of a Reserve

Under section 16(1) of the Reserves Act 1977, and pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator for the Tongariro-Whanganui-Taranaki Conservancy of the Department of Conservation classifies the recreation reserve described in the Schedule as a local purpose (community buildings) reserve.

Classification and Union of Reserves

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Support Manager for the Tongariro/Whanganui/Taranaki Conservancy of the Department of Conservation classifies the reserves described in the First Schedule as recreation reserves and declares that on and after the date of publication of this notice, the reserves described in the First Schedule shall be united with the reserves described in the Second Schedule to form one reserve.

Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993

Redefining the Purposes of a Maori Reservation

Pursuant to sections 338(5)(c) and 338(5)(d) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, both the purposes and the persons or class of persons for whose use or benefit the reservation is made, of the Māori reservation on the land described in the Schedule hereto, and set apart by notice in the New Zealand Gazette, 24 September 1992, No. 154, page 3209, and redefined in the New Zealand Gazette, 3 April 2003, No. 34, page 912, and further amended in the New Zealand Gazette, 28 March 2007, No. 35, page 917, is redefined for the purposes of a marae to be called Ngāti Tai Manawaiti Marae for the common use and benefit of the Ngāti Tai Iwi and their descendants.
