Notice of Variation of a Scheduled International
Air Service Licence
Pursuant to section 87Q(4) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990,
sections 41(1) and 42 of the State Sector Act 1988, and
to a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated
6 November 2007, notice is given that, having received an
application from Cathay Pacific Airways Limited of Hong
Kong, Bruce Johnson, Acting Secretary for Transport in the
Ministry of Transport, has varied the airline’s Scheduled
International Air Service Licence authorising it to code-share
as the marketing carrier on the services of LAN Airlines
beyond Auckland to Santiago with capacity as filed with and
acknowledged by the Secretary for Transport.
This variation took effect on 12 April 2010.

The Commerce Commission (“Commission”) made standard
terms determinations (“STD”), under section 30M of the
Telecommunications Act 2001 (“the Act”), in respect of
the designated access services:
- Telecom’s Unbundled Copper Local Loop Network
(“Decision 609”) and Telecom’s Unbundled Copper
Local Loop Network Co-location (“Decision 610”), on
7 November 2007; - Telecom’s Unbundled Copper Local Loop Network
Backhaul (“Decision 626), on 27 June 2008; and - Telecom’s Unbundled Copper Local Loop Network
Service (Sub-loop UCLL), Unbundled Copper Local
Loop Network Co-location Service (Sub-loop
Co-location) and Unbundled Copper Local Loop
Network Backhaul Service (Sub-loop Backhaul)
(“Decision 672”), on 18 June 2009.
Pursuant to section 58(2) of the Act, the Commission is
required to give public notice that it has amended Decisions
609, 610, 626 and 672 for the purposes of making a
clarification under section 58(1) of the Act. Clarification
Decision 690 made amendments to the following areas of
Decisions 609, 610, 626 and 672:
- The removal of recurring backhaul charges for handover
fibre; - the price change mechanism for the escorted access
service component in UCLL Co-location and UCLL
Sub-loop Co-location STD; - the Annual Review date for all UCLL and Sub-loop
UCLL STD; - Cabinetisation notices and waivers; and
- the provision of performance reports.
