Intention to Review the Approved Code of Practice for Demolition (1994)
Notice that the Secretary of Labour has asked the Minister of Labour to review the code of practice pursuant to section 20(1)(a) of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992.
The current code sets out a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for the health and safety practices for demolition.
There is an industry working party that is writing a Best Practice Guideline and the outcome of the review of this current code is likely to be to revoke it once the Best Practice Guideline is published.
We are seeking input and feedback on the current code to be incorporated into the draft Best Practice Guideline.
The current code is available on the Department of Labour’s website
www.dol.govt.nz

Intention to Review the Approved Code of Practice for Boilers – the Design, Safe Operation and Maintenance and Service of (2000)
Notice that the Secretary of Labour has asked the Minister of Labour to review the code of practice pursuant to section 20(1)(a) of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992.
The current code sets out a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for the health and safety practices for boilers.
There have been a number of proposed changes to the standards and guidance material for boilers.
Accordingly we are seeking input and feedback on the current code.
The current code is available on the Department of Labour’s website

Intention to Review Forest Operations – Approved Code of Practice Safety Code, Timber Stacking, Packeting and Transportation – Part 5 (1998)
Notice that the Secretary of Labour has asked the Minister of Labour to review a code of practice pursuant to section 20(1)(a) of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992.
The current code sets out a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for the health and safety practices for stacking and transporting in the forestry industry.
The likely outcome of this review will be to revoke this code and to incorporate the necessary sections into the Forestry Best Practice Guideline.
Interested parties are invited to provide feedback on this proposal.
