Notice of Intention to Apply for Approval of Code of Practice

Pursuant to section 79 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority (ERMA) gives notice that the Textile Care Federation of New Zealand Incorporated intends to apply for approval of the Code of Practice: Use of Perchloroethylene in the Drycleaning Industry.

This code has been developed by the Textile Care Federation of New Zealand Incorporated as a means of compliance with the Solvents (Toxic 6.7) Group Standard, 2006.

Written submissions in relation to the approval of this code can be made by mail, facsimile or email to:

Reserves Act 1977

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes, and Declaration That the Area Become Part of a Reserve and Vested in the Yellow-Eyed Penguin Trust

Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Conservator for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation declares that the land described in the First Schedule is held for conservation purposes and further declares the conservation area to be set apart as a reserve, classified as a scenic reserve, included in the reserve described in the Second Schedule, subject to the Reserves Act 1977 and, under the Reserves Act 1977, to be vested in the Yellow-Eyed Penguin Trust in trust for that purpose.
