Inclusion of Private Land in the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park

Under the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park Act 2000, the Minister of Conservation declares the land described in the Schedule to be included in the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park.

Land Transport Management Act 2003

Revoking a State Highway, Varying a Section of State Highway and Declaring a Section of State Highway—State Highways 1A, 17 and 1, Orewa

Pursuant to section 103 of the Land Transport Management Act 2003, the Secretary for Transport gives notice that, with effect from 24 January 2009:

(a) all of State Highway 1A, described in the First Schedule, is revoked;

(b) the section of State Highway 1, described in the Second Schedule, is renumbered as State Highway 17; and

(c) the sections of new and existing road, described in the Third Schedule, are declared to be State Highway 1.

First Schedule

All of State Highway 1A in Rodney District, commencing at a point (Reference Station 0) on State Highway 1 at the northern side of the Silverdale Interchange Bridge and extending in a generally northerly direction to the new Orewa Interchange and then along the Grand Drive section of State Highway 1A in a generally easterly direction to Maire Road (Reference Station 6), including the ramps and connections to and from State Highway 1, Grand Drive and Maire Road; a total distance of approximately 5.7 kilometres.

Second Schedule

State Highway 17 to include an existing section of State Highway 1 in Rodney District commencing at the north-western boundary of Fowler Access Road (new Reference Station 0) and extending in a generally southerly direction through Waiwera, Hatfields Beach, Orewa and Silverdale to a point (Reference Station 16) on the western side of the westernmost roundabout at the Silverdale Interchange; a distance of approximately 14.839 kilometres.

Third Schedule

State Highway 1 to include the newly constructed section of road in Rodney District commencing on an existing section of State Highway 1 at the southern abutment of Titfords Bridge (Route Position 373/9.552) and extending in a generally southerly direction through the Johnstone’s Hill twin road tunnels to the new Orewa Interchange (new Route Position 373/16.626), including the newly constructed ramps and connections to and from State Highway 17 and Grand Drive; a distance of approximately 7.074 kilometres.

State Highway 1 to include an existing section of road (part of revoked State Highway 1A) in Rodney District commencing at the new Orewa Interchange (new Route Position 373/16.626) and extending in a generally southerly direction to a point (existing Reference Station 398) on State Highway 1 at the Silverdale Interchange Bridge, including the ramps and connections to and from State Highway 1, Grand Drive and State Highway 17; a distance of 4.25 kilometres.

Maori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989

Māori Land Development Notice

Pursuant to section 21 of the Māori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989, the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Māori Development hereby gives notice as follows.

Notice

1. This notice may be cited as Māori Land Development Notice, Hamilton 2009, No. 1.

2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is, in relation only to those pieces of land described in the Second Schedule hereto, hereby revoked.

3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from the provisions of Part II of the Māori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989.
