National Standards

Pursuant to section 60A of the Education Act 1989, the Minister of Education hereby publishes National Standards.
Each board of trustees, through the principal and staff is required to use and report on National Standards for students in Years 1–8 from 2 February 2010.
This notice applies only to those schools that are required to implement The New Zealand Curriculum in 2010.

Draft National Standards: Nga Whanaketanga Rūmaki Māori

Pursuant to section 60A of the Education Act 1989, the Minister of Education hereby publishes draft Nga Whanaketanga Rūmaki Māori.
This notice applies only to those schools or bilingual settings that are working towards implementing Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.
The board of trustees of such schools, through the principal and staff, is required to work with Nga Whanaketanga Rūmaki Māori for students in Years 1–8 from 2 February 2010.

Pursuant to Regulation 12(1)(d)(iii) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education,

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreements

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that supplementary integration agreements have been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, acting through the Group Manager, Schools and Student Support, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietors of the following schools:

• St Pius X Catholic School, Hamilton.
• St Columba’s Catholic School, Frankton.

The said supplementary integration agreements were executed on 22 October 2009.
Copies of the supplementary integration agreements are available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the local office of the Ministry of Education, 136–150 Victoria Street, Hamilton.
