Notification of the Commerce Commission’s Final Cost Calculation Determination for the Telecommunications Service Obligation Instrument for Telecom’s Local Residential Telephone Service for the Period Between 1 July 2007 and 30 June 2008

On 7 October 2009, the Commerce Commission (“the Commission”) released its Final Cost Calculation Determination for the Telecommunications Service Obligation (“TSO”) Instrument for local residential telephone service for the period between 1 July 2007 and 30 June 2008. The local residential telephone service is supplied by Telecom New Zealand Limited and Telecom Corporation of New Zealand Limited (“Telecom”).

The Commission, acting pursuant to section 90(a) of the Telecommunications Act 2001 (“the Act”), made the final cost calculation determination in respect of the matters set out in section 93E of the Act for the TSO instrument for Telecom’s local residential telephone service.

Pursuant to section 93C of the Act, the Commission gives public notice of this matter in the New Zealand Gazette.

Arapawa Fire Districts Notice, September 2009

Under section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the New Zealand Fire Service Commission gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice is the Arapawa Fire Districts Notice, September 2009.
  2. This notice comes into force on the day of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
  3. This notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous fire district notices for the districts listed in the Schedule.

Constitution of Fire Districts

(a) The urban areas listed in the Schedule are constituted as fire districts.

(b) The boundaries of the fire districts as listed are defined and delineated on plans held at the National Headquarters, New Zealand Fire Service, Wellington.

Environmental Risk Management Authority

Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996

Notice of Approval of Code of Practice

Pursuant to section 79(5) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (“the Act”), the Environmental Risk Management Authority advises that it has approved on 14 October 2009, the Code of Practice for Gas Cylinders of Composite Construction Designed to EN 12245:2009.

This code has been developed by Ragasco AS and provides a means of compliance with the requirements of Regulation 10(c) of the Hazardous Substances (Compressed Gases) Regulations 2004 in respect of fully wrapped composite cylinders.

Pursuant to section 80(1) of the Act, this code may be inspected on request at the Wellington office of the Environmental Risk Management Authority of New Zealand, Level 1, BP House, 20 Customhouse Quay, Wellington.
