Revocation of the Reservation Over Reserves

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Support Manager for the Wanganui Conservancy of the Department of Conservation revokes the reservation over the lands described in the Schedule as reserves for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands, with effect that the lands are now Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.

Revocation of a Notice Relating to Classification of Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Support Manager for the Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation revokes the notice classifying a reserve dated the 7th day of April 2009 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 16 April 2009, No. 49, page 1234, and issues the following notice as a fresh notice in its place.

Classification of Reserve, Appointment of the Wellington Regional Council to Control and Manage the Reserve, and Declaration That the Reserve Forms Part of the Queen Elizabeth Park Recreation Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Support Manager for the Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation hereby classifies the reserve described in the Schedule hereto as a recreation reserve, appoints the Wellington Regional Council to control and manage the reserve for recreation purposes, and declares the said reserve to form part of the Queen Elizabeth Park recreation reserve.

The appointment to control and manage the reserve is subject to the Minister being able to recover any local or regional authority rates from the council if such rates are levied and paid by the Crown.

Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve, Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How to Utilise Proceeds of Sale or Leasing

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Support Manager for the Wellington Hawke’s Bay Conservancy of the Department of Conservation revokes the reservation as a local purpose (cemetery) reserve over that part of reserve described in the Schedule and declares that the land may be leased or sold by the Kapiti Coast District Council on such terms and conditions as the council determines.

The proceeds from leasing or sale are to be paid into the council’s reserves account to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.
