Pursuant to section 47(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting of the following exemptions:

  • 2 from Maritime Rule 21.13(1)(a) – re entry to and conditions to be met in order for ship to remain Safe Ship Management
  • 90 from Maritime Rule 21.13(1)(b) – re entry to and conditions to be met in order for ship to remain Safe Ship Management
  • 1 from Maritime Rule 21.13(1)(c) – re entry to and conditions to be met in order for ship to remain Safe Ship Management
  • 10 from Maritime 24B.10 – re storage and securing of cargo of roll on/roll off ships
  • 1 from Maritime Rule 31A.13 – re crewing and watchkeeping – unlimited area (non-fishing vessels)
  • 1 from Safe Ship Management and Maritime Rule 31B.9(1)(a) and (b) – re crewing and watchkeeping – inshore area (non-passanger vessels)
  • 2 from Maritime Rule 31B.10(a) and (b) – re crewing and watchkeeping – enclosed area (passenger vessels)
  • 1 from Maritime Rule 31B.13 – re crewing and watchkeeping – coastal areas (non-passenger vessels)
