Land Declared No Longer Required for Education Purposes

Pursuant to section 70A of the Education Act 1989, and pursuant to an authority delegated to me, I, Paul Dickson Burke, Group Manager Property, Ministry of Education, Wellington, hereby give the following notice.

Notice

1. The land described in the Schedule to this notice is no longer required for education purposes.
2. This notice shall come into force on 10 April 2008.

Reserve Act 1977

Revocation of a Notice Relating to a Reserve and Issue of a Fresh Notice

Under section 6(3) of the Reserve Act 1977, and by reason of an error made in the notice described subsequently, the Acting Conservator revokes the notice headed Land to be Set Apart for Local Purpose Reserve—Charming Creek, Ngakawau, dated the 13th day of February 2008 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 21 February 2008, No. 31, page 721, and issues the following notice as a fresh notice in its place.

Land to be Set Apart for Local Purpose Reserve—Charming Creek, Ngakawau

Pursuant to section 167 of the Land Act 1948, the Acting Conservator of the West Coast Conservancy declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule to this notice is hereby set apart for a local purpose reserve and shall vest in the Department of Conservation on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road—State Highways 1 and 8, Washdyke, Canterbury Land District

Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land described in the Schedule hereto (“the land”).

The land described in the Schedule to this notice is required for road, namely for the construction of intersection improvements at the intersection of State Highways 1 and 8, Washdyke, Timaru.

The proposed land use is in accordance with the designation under the district plan.

The owner of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Crown’s intention to take their land and their right to object.

Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, 89 Armagh Street, PO Box 2069, Christchurch, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be heard with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

Notice is hereby given that the Papakura District Council, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land described in the Schedule hereto (“the land”).
