Civil Aviation Rule Part 71—Designation and Classification of Airspace

Pursuant to Civil Aviation Rule Part 71.9(d), the following amendment was designated with effect from 10 April 2008:

● A new danger area NZD 822 (Retreat Creek) is established.

● The Waitiri visual reporting point is renamed to Nevis Bluff.

Prescribed pursuant to Civil Aviation Rule Part 71 of the Civil Aviation Rules, under a delegated authority issued by the Director of Civil Aviation.

Land Transport New Zealand

Land Transport Act 1998

Notification of Ordinary Rule

Pursuant to section 161(3) of the Land Transport Act 1998, notification is hereby given of the making of Land Transport Rule: Frontal Impact Amendment 2008 (Rule 32006/3).

The main objective of this amendment Rule, which comes into force on 8 May 2008, is to improve the system for approving the entry into New Zealand of the following vehicles that do not comply with approved frontal impact standards:

● vehicles imported by immigrants and returning New Zealand citizens and residents (commonly known as "baggage vehicles" or "immigrants’ vehicles");

● motor sport vehicles;

● special interest vehicles; and

● passenger vehicles with a gross vehicle mass exceeding 2.5 tonnes.

The amendment Rule is available for inspection free of charge at the National Office of Land Transport New Zealand, 7 Waterloo Quay, Wellington, and for purchase from late April 2008 at selected bookshops that sell legislation.
